What car did you say you had again? I think i missed it the first 7 times you mentioned it [:D]

Its not a good idea to have a personal attack on a enthusiasts forum like Porsche.
I think the phrase you should have used was 'It's a good idea to have some light hearted banter on an enthusiasts forum like, Porsche'

[:)]

Its a sh*t morning raining and cold, I am just being grumpy, its allowed at my age, see you at the next event , you will not miss me [:D]

You have really spoilt my day there I was thinking that The Bill and Holby blue was real !!!!
I got stopped in 1969 in my own MGC going a bit quick. The Plod thought it was my wife's car who they knew, and thought I had stolen it.
When I had proven it was mine they wanted to look under the bonnet ,they thought it was a B and couldn't figure out how it was going so fast, I suggested they take it for a drive and let me drive their car . They declined and told me to be a good boy or the next time I would get done.I got done on the way back by another crew.
I was in the RAF at the time and didn't understand the concept of speed.I am well retired and judging by my licence still don't under stand, but I am trying.
I think the Police are wonderful,I even have an Album.

In fairness, (and I don't want to be droll) you can acknowledge the fact your being pulled ( light groan is polite....) by waving at the officer to let them know you've seen them and then drive to where you deem fit. If they reinforce their indication for you to stop then they are to blame for the site arguably. I personally begin to get a bit of a s****y on when people stop erratically, stop on a junction, bend in the road, zig zags on crossings etc etc, the limit of stupidity is endless I have even had someone stop in the fast lane of a dual carriage way!
Interestingly I had an Impreza driver heed this advice last Saturday night. He saw my lights, waved..............and then disappeared into the horizon [X(]

I though achieving the speed limit was an impossibility on the A64 ?

There are so many roadworks, traffic lights, contra flows and accidents, that I am amazes it's worth the police' while sitting and waiting.

To clear up the next accident / road rage / or just waiting to take a look at a nice car ?

Actually, my overall view of the police is quite complimentary, it's the indiscriminate speed camera that catches the unwary 5mph over the limit at 2.00 in the moring --- or when one is really conentrating on where one is going and didn't notice the effect of gravity down a long 30mph hill (generally after a de-restricted stint) that gets "the law" a bad name.

And all to stuff cash into the coffers of a road safety partnership ? Bad business --- in my humble opinion.

How to alienate the genral public, turn law abiding citizens into criminals --- if you play the end game many of us will be driving around in cloned red escorts !

So, maybe the police should concentrate in them ?

And what made you think your car was distinctive and got you pulled?

Well its Saturday night isn't it

Only WPC's need apply, and 'it' stains leather, ( I should imagine) [:)]

im 31 and got pulled by the police 10 minutes after driving my car from the dealer. I was not speeding and it is so annoying as all i wanted to do was go home and show my wife my new car, and the officer kept me back for half an hour and i know it was just to admire my car.

If you want to admire a car look at one when its parked up or better still go to a car showroom!!!!!!!!!!!!
