Bits that DO work

There was a thread recently with bits that NEED doing. How about a league-table with the bits that don't usually work - but DO!

Mine:
1 - glove-box arms fully intact
2 - centre arm rest hinge fully working
3 - digital clock fully working

I'll go to the lop of the league...

Whats a "968 odments tray" then? I had a 1987 car for which the owner hadnt paid for a cassette box, which was an extra.

All three items work in my series two car, although the cassette box lid seems to have come off a left hand drive car Mark...

Damn I only have glove box hinge!!

Do I get extra points for:

1. Working digital clock light that dims with headlights.
2. Fully retractable cargo cover.
3. Fully gassed up and icey cold aircon.

[:)]

All mine work..... except the glovebox hinge that has a strap now fitted as a short term measure(3 years ago)

It's the oddments tray from a 968, it's a 968 part and will never break. [:)]

I don't know what came if you didn't order a cassette box. I thought they were part of the UK spec that always seems to include a sunroof as well?

i think its fair to say that EVERYTHING works on my cab -
except the tell tale light on the rear fog switch - and (no one answered ast time i asked this) - is there a "lights on warning buzzer" that i have but just doesnt work, or isnt there such a thing?

Hey I am doing pretty well here all my switch lights work too lol. I don't think there ever was such a buzzer fitted. I have been caught out a couple of times with that. Have to admit thopugh my central locking switch doesn't work. I took all the wires off it to supply aftermarket boost and AFR gauges.

LOL! I seem to have fixed nearly these (bar glove box) since I got it - amazing how a job here and there ads up - how about;
- headlight wash
- under bonnet light

Anyone tell me if the cigarette lighter has its own fuse or if this is a victim of previous owners attemtpto replace clock?

Things that are working fine
auto sensing rain wipers
auto dimming rear view mirror
VGT turbo
climate control
heated front windscreen (the best gadget on any car bar none!)
6th gear
the little lights underneath the wing mirrors that light up the ground so you don't step in any puddles when getting into the car

I can still play even though i've got an S Max can't I??

The Focus works fine and has 103k miles on the clock, but there isn't much on that car to go wrong!
