Bluto is back!!!!

Asked about the spec and any nonstandard parts. Spec seems fluid. I thought the clubsports came with 430hp, article on PH quotes 450hp with later evo turbos like 993 turbo s. They didn't mention that or the nonstandard exhaust when I enquired. Probably need an expert to check it over for any changes, if you can see past the oil cooler!

They came with k16's and a chip for 430bhp over regular 408bhp of 993TT...The later evo was on larger K24 turbo's and 450bhp, with the "potential" for more.

Didn't the early models have the Aluminium doors, and a power upgrade to compensate for the weight of steel doors of the later model ?

That is the case Steve, ali doors on the first edition, back to regular 993 steel doors for the Evo.

Thing is the engines were basically the X50 option of the 993TT. 430bhp up to '97 model year (aug'96) then 450bhp after that as mentioned earlier...same as standard as 993 TT "S".

So, although the power upgrade may compensate for the lack of ali doors, it seems unlikely this was the reason it was fitted to the Evo, when the regular 993TT was available as 450bhp with the X50 option.

any one around brands on the weekend, can probably scrape some tickets up,its the historic festival race on the gp.Qualy saturday race sunday afternoon

Right as always Steve..................

Bluto has the light doors, early Clubsport , nice fresh engine just before i sold it ,by Fearnsport ..................everything spot on + bigger turbos as stated [ dont know many GT2 still with small ones] carrillo rods and 996 gt3 oil pump ,all in the interest of longevity
Anyone really interested it also was sold with virtually all new suspension and very clean 380 mm discs [ standard sincluded if u wnated ]

Not pumping huge BHP when it left me IIRC abt 480 ish

Given just how scarce and valuable these are, I was quite surprised to see a light yellow one on the back of a VW transporter in the pouring rain yesterday on the M40...... looked magnificent through the spray.

John, I am sure you know your cars, but was it a real CS?

The only thing is, you can take a £35-50k 993TT and spend £10-20k on body parts and wheels to make it appear to be worth considerably more. There are a few of these around.

(even less £££ if the parts are replica).

Or if Speed yellow it could be the Malton car on the move?

Didn't get up close and personal, but it looked correct for a 993GT2.
Most people who build replicas forget that they just have plain 911GT on the engine lid.

Definitely not Speed Yellow..... it was a very light pastel yellow, even lighter than 1970s Light Yellow.
