Blyton Park Track Day 20 May 2016

My 993 is currently sat in 911 sport in Horncastle with a fuelling issue, hopefully it will be ready on Thursday but I'm not holding out much hope. I'm gutted!!

It looks like the Cayenne is going to be put through its paces with the "sport" button illuminated.

Sorry to hear this - hope it gets fettled in time, if not it will be interesting to see the KN out on track. I suspect it may well go quicker than some expect - pleasantly surprised by ours on the road (3 litre Diesel), also on 'air' . Will have to think about our pax ride policy as its a 5 seater :ROFLMAO:

Looking forward to seeing and meeting you all on Friday

Rod - also hoping for good weather as I'm going to be stood out in it all day !!

anyone dealt with Moris track day insurance?

cheapest so far, ÂŁ170 including recovery home (upto 70 miles free), and an excess of 1696 on a value of 25000.

This is for 2 drivers as well.

EDIT, had a check online and Moris seem reputable so have gone with them.

Good day out again today. Big thanks to Richard, Rod and all support staff. It takes a lot of time and organising. Well done to you all.

Regards Mike and David

Another great Blyton Park track day. A big thank you to Rod and Richard for organising it as well as of course Gavin, and the other instructors, Mike, Gwayne and Nick who did a superb job of guiding novices and slightly more experienced drivers to get to grips with the track. Thanks also to RennSpeed for help and advice and a thrilling passenge ride with Nick in the modified Boxster, and thanks also to another Nick for a ride in his 911 GT3 - what a car that is!

How do you manage to put on such a great day for the money?

many thanks again

Graham

Thanks all for another excellent day, bit short on early cars but nice to see the Caymens out - especially yours Ian!

Tony

Thank you very much to all involved on my first PCGB experience!

A great well organised track day event, which i thoroughly enjoyed, I don't think my new michelins did though! and hope to see you all again, I think my next 'outing' is chatsworth house

Thanks for the various kind comments above, glad you all enjoyed it. For those of you that enjoyed it, and those of you that missed it and are wondering what it was like we're hoping to run another in Sept/Oct this year - watch this space for the date!!

Rod

My first track day and it was a wonderful experience, many thanks from Sarah and I to everyone involved.

Fantastic event, very well organised, brilliant instructors and great to meet such a friendly bunch.

Well done to everyone for bringing out their pride and joys to put through their paces, thank you to Ian for a few laps in his GT4, it made my Cayenne look like a people carrier!!!

I look forward to the next track day Rod and the 993 will hopefully be making an appearance, in the meantime I hope to see you all at Chatsworth.

Regards Chris

I would like to echo all the thanks and positive remarks made above.

This is a really relaxed, friendly, safe and rewarding day. Nice mix of cars with Tony's backdated/wide-bodied white 964 being my favourite. I was very impressed by the speed of the white and grey Cayman Rs, very well driven.

Glad you enjoyed the laps, Chris but it seems that your Cayenne caused the biggest shock, in a good way!

Photos, anyone?

I've not got my pics sorted out yet but I have a video of some laps,

excuse my comments when behind a beautiful yellow 911/912 ?

As you can see the track has some technical bits but plenty of run off, I would say its the

perfect track for a beginner like myself. I will be returning, but maybe next year as it is

certainly hard on the cars brakes and appearance, not so much on the tyres though.

Another superbly organised and run event, and I must express my thanks to the organisers, sponsors and members for their efforts.

I was certainly impressed by the growing Cayman brigade and their undoubted speed on track, but as most of my driving is on the roads, I will continue to soldier on in my little air cooled Carrera 2.

Thank you all for your nice comments on the day fully appreciated by all the team.
