Booze cruise 30/10/10

A great big THANK YOU to Gary and Jo for organising yet another brilliant weekend.[:D] Great company, driving, food- and the visits to the V2 rocket base and Ypres not to forget the chocolate factory and wine tasting-what more can you want from a Porsche weekend? Don't think my car has been muddier, but the route through the beet fields was wicked! Yes, our journey around the M25 was particularly slow, then we had to dodge an accident on the M40. Sorry we didn't have an opportunity to say our goodbyes to all of the party, but thanks for a memorable trip and see you all soon.

Mike and Neil.

997 TT Cobalt Blue
Cayenne Gen2 Diesel Meteor Grey
Still awaiting 997 Gen 2 GT3

We would like to second what Mike has written ( same route home , then a bit further ), great weekend. Gary we really wanted to thank you and Jo in person but with out realising we clicked the next available train and it was loading as we came round into the car park.
Hope to enjoy more trips with the 997 register soon.

Steve and Helen.

Massive thankyou

Ditto - for our first-ever PCGB and 997 reg run, Paula and I had a great time; good to meet all of you, glad to have entertained some of you with my Vegas stripper impersonations, and great to swap so many interesting stories; sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to some of you, but we'll see y'all on the next run I expect, and I'll upload some pics this week also.

Looks like it was great fun - sorry we couldn't be there. (Did have a fun day at Castle Combe instead though[:)]) What's with photo number 8 btw? Looks like the roads down this way mid-winter - but with slightly less mud![;)]

Great fun, playing in the mud Alan, cars were absolutely filthy.100% worth it
Funny though Richard and Jane were only saying that white doesn't show the dirt so much as black[:D]

Great photo's Mat, I hope to be able to upload an extra couple later in the week.
One of Tted at the chocolate factory.
I'm really impressed you got a photo of the big dipper :)

Were really glad everyone entered into the spirit of the events put on, me and Jo really enjoyed the weekend.
Without the drizzle and French farmers doing their bit the roads would gave been even better.

Great Weekend

Great People

Great fun

Thanks to Gary & Jo for a great weekend - lots of interesting things organized and some great roads

Hi Gary (Eamon) and Jo Top drive top entertainment and company to, once again you had put a lot of work in to make everything run smoothly in France [:)] any chance you can sort that M25 out before the next trip []. Was thinking about cleaning the car but we do like the light brown colour now so may keep it as it is. The only down side was when we saw steam coming out of the bonnet and a horrible smell looks like radiators required [:(][:(][:(][:(]. Thanks and catch up soon Richard and Jane.

Sorry to hear that richard

Very jealous of you all for having so much fun last weekend without me. I apparently chose the 'correct' option and stayed home with the family.

...rewarded with food poisoning from eating in on Fri night, sleeping for about 20 hours on Sat, and still not fully recovered. Ah, happy days ;-)

More pics please to cheer me up...

Look on the bright side Alex. At least you won't have to spend the next week removing la boue francaise from every nook and cranny![:D]

Well there's been some way better pictures posted than mine, but if it keeps Alex happy[;)]

I visited the Battle of Britain memorial in Folkestone on the way down.. I took a little friend with me [;)]

Plenty of stunning roads to drive that just itched to have fun on.... and some not covered in mud!!

These led to the parking and wait at the Chocolate factory....

And then onto the hotel....

The next day led to more wonderful French roads, but left me with that feeling of being followed....

However some didn't want to follow.......[;)]

I'll try and write an article for the magazine unless anyone would like to volunteer?? (and you had to of been on the trip[;)])

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the day and those without plastic wheels survived the mud...[:)]
It didn't look as muddy as that at the time!!!! [&:]

I must clean my car for the workers conference this Saturday- perhaps..[]
