Is anybody else staying at the Ashford International on Friday night?

There is about 5 couples, hopefully Mike will pop over for a bite to eat with us - depending on travel times.
I will be in the area on Friday from mid-afternoon, hopefully visiting the Spitfire memorial and Dover Castle.

great; we won't be there until late afternoon I expect. Is anything planned drinks-wise, or is it a case of drop my car keys on the bar and smile sweetly lol??

A question for the group:

Is anyone swapping over the headlight aim for continental driving?

personally i wasn't planning on it. Are we going to be driving anywhere at night - or is it mandatory to use headlights for daytime driving in France/Belgium?

Certainly no plans to drive at night... however it's the law for dipped lights if it rains- I know thats a bit negative [;)] but...
The Feds look for the jackets in the car more than anything else.. one per passenger but you only need 1 in the car at all times for the driver to wear.

I think you'll find some of us in the bar early Friday evening [:)]

I hope everyone was watching Monte-carlo or bust tonight?
Quite a few places mentioned that we've visited over the past few years drives..

Weather looks a little unsettled at the moment, the French seem to be burning just the South and its reported that most Autoroute service stations have fuel.

A great trip from my side of things [:D]

A great weekend and lovely to see new faces out enjoying their cars- even if they did get a little muddy.... most people seemed to be OK about that [:(]
A horrible trip back from Folkestone, nearly doubling the usual time it takes me!!

Thanks for everyone company over the weekend and I'll sort my pictures out when I'm back on Wednesday.
With some of those French roads is does make you wonder why we bother with the Autoroute and miss so much..?
