Booze cruise 30/10/10

Seems about right.. [:)]

I'll be sending emails out shortly for food options..
They have offered us a menu of the day that we'll need to pre-book.

30euros per person for the 3 courses including wine and water on the table.. and after the wine tasting we may even be able to decribe it rather than just drink it [:D]

We do still have some places available if anyones interested.. Its mentioned in the magazine this month

Our business travel plans mean this trip has now become possible .... (the stars are aligned I guess) .... assuming a bright Orange mid-engined thing is OK (He is well behaved (LHD), unlike his master)

A question for the 'Euro-tunnelers' ..... I seem to recall having some issues with the top deck on the train, namely the exit ramp in Calais. Is it planned to go lower deck on the train with lorries, coaches and JC of Top Gear fame in something exotic?

Nick, with the tunnel its a matter of being confident..
I have never been sent upstairs on the decks and always pointed towards the lower decks..

I did see some of the group being sent upstairs on the D-day tour which surprised me!! [&:]
On the return though we did get directed down the sidings to the lorry berth and nice wide and low deck.

More than welcome to join us on this trip. You and Peter can show us the benefits of the Boxster [;)]

Thanks for the tunnel info .... The lower deck it is then .... ('Tango' doesn't do ramps/curbs as he has the Aerokit and very expensive wheels)

I will speak to her indoors shortly .... and look at the logistics etc.

(Added benefit of the Boxster is the extra boot space [;)])

Nick

Took your advice as I am areo kit bound as well and ramps don't really work.

Am booked on the 9:50 on the way out but had to go a bit earlier 16:42 on the way back as the 16:50 had run out of "tall vehicle" spaces.

Awaiting on the hotel to come back.

Cool

Not sure we've met in person before so looking forward to it.

Shall we call it the aero kit sub register meeting........[8D]

As ever with French cuisine... we'll get back to you []
Nearly finished and will email the menu choices out.

Steve, I'll send it out to you.. once I've added the soup [;)]

The train is on two levels and with a low front spoiler it could possibly ground out going on and off the train ramp, the lower level negates that worry..
As said up until the D-day trip I'd never seen a sports car sent on the upper level... just point to the lower level if they try to...
