breaking 944 S2 next week - few good bits

Elliot

New member
I picked up an unseen red S2 last night from stoke and to be honest the sill rot will likely prevent me from restoring it financially.

Anyway it has a rebuilt hartech engine (non starter at moment but suspect ignition amplifier) will check it tomorrow. - started up this morning (bit tappety but corroded fuel lines prevented me running it for a while - will patch up lines and run for longer tomorrow

Black club sport steering wheel and boss - very good unscratched condition

black and white pinstripe interior - mark on drivers bolster

mahussive stainless exhaust - will find details when its on the ramp.

996 carrerra alloys. twists one curb mark on one alloys, caps included, rears 3mm fronts 7mm

obviously all the s2 related stuff like callipers etc.

if anybody is after anything give me a call and I will put it to one side.

Drivers wing very good

cheers Elliot

996 alloys.... might be interested.
10 spoke or turbo twist (or other?)
Colour (I assume silver...)
Condition?
Not overly interested in tyres unless they're track tyres but I guess you'll sell as a unit.

I also need the little round plastic grill that goes over a hole in the dash (I think this is a sensor cover???).

Thanks
Mick

Hi Elliot,

Might be interested in the steering wheel - how much? Also I'm needing the clear plastic trim pieces for the drivers side foglight - are they intact?

Thanks!

Im after the fuel cap filler drain pipe(the bit in to the bottom of the filler area) and t piece that leads down to the boot. Mine doesnt appear to stay in place and likes to leak from time to time.

Hi Elliot, I've just asked in the parts for sale section, do you still have the Burgundy club Sport steering wheel for sale?

Unfortunately Dave, the exhaust will only suit 16v and 2.7l cars, otherwise Id have been all over it.

Alasdair had at least 3 exhausts to suit a Turbo, one was a Dansk in minty condition, the others require new tailpipes welded but the rest of the system were excellent, why did Porsche fit bloody mild steel tips to stainless boxes ?

Cheers Simon, saving me money again.

My mild steel exhaust survived the nurburgring but the end fell off rumbling down the ferry ramp back in Hull!

£45 saw a stainless pipe welded back on :)

I don't think they did? certainly when I bought a genuine replacement for my lux it was stainless - I think the problem is that the trim cover traps moisture and grit and rots through the tail pipe - not sure what the cover is made of? On my lux I didn't fit a new trim just polished the pipe. Given that they last 20+ years I don't think we can complain too hard - and it is cheap to get a new tail pipe welded on, I did it myself as a stop gap on my coupe a straight piece of pipe works!

exhaust please.

Some bits of trim esp if it's blue inside.

poss rear spoiler under the bumper..

Twist
silver
very good with exception of kerb rash on one spoke
tyres fronts 7m rears 3mm
I have a sensor cover available

steering wheel will be in the region of £200 as its superb. The foglights are both in very good condition and complete with side pieces but would be looking at selling these complete. If somebody only wants the light perhaps you could do a deal with them.

Any idea what the wishbones/ball joints are like and what you would want for them?

Many thanks,

Tref.

Cant honestly tell you yet - will get her running and give her a good run tomorrow - will test on ramp and come back to you
if they are good as with all my late wishbones I sell them at 49.95 a side.
