Hi Elliot

Is the steering wheel the one with the embossed crest or the coloured crest?

Hi Elliot

I will take the wheel. Is the £200 inc. delivery?

How do you want paid?

Im struggling to contain myself.

Pulling out of a hat - and you wonder why I advise people to avoid you? Sell it to the first person who contacted you and stop acting like a clown man.

He maybe doesn't like me and wants to sell to someone else [:(]

Re-reading: do you not have anything fitted in your car at all??? Whether you have fixed laps, inertia laps, or nowt at all, my advice still stands, although youll need to find a set of inertia lap belts used for the best solution.

As with the mounting in the C pillar, the base mounts are there in all 924s and 944s, beneath the squab and carpet.

yes that's right nothing in the back seat belt wise, I am assuming that the mounting points are there under the trim and seat leather

Martin - sorry that one was taken by a regular here in Lincolnshire but I am pretty sure I have another one on an S2 that I have just brought.

picking it up tomorrow weather permitting.

please let me have your email and I will get a picture to you (cant shrink picture size).

cheers Elliot

Id advise ringing QuickfitSBS and establishing whether they can re-web the inertia lap belts that I have described. This would use the in-line inertia reel assembly with a longer belt and a suitable bracket to bolt to the fixed C pillar mounting. If they can and if the price is reasonable, which Id expect it to be, then you will be able to buy a used set for under £40 on eBay. I will include a link at the end which has a suitable photograph so that you are able to identify the correct part in future.

If they aren't then the sensible option would be a fixed three point belt. It is possible to have the mounting brackets cut out of a 1987> car and welded into your own, but its a good deal easier to say than it is to do. With this fitted you will be able to install the 1987> type of three point inertia reel belt.

944/964 inertia lap belts:

This might also be useful: £46 delivered per side for a new fixed three point belt for a 944. Useful to judge QuickfitSBS's prices against.

I enjoy the forum and I make the time to try and help people, as opposed to trying to use it to further my own ends.

Your stupid reply, highlighted, only makes you look even more foolish. Sell it to the first person to contact you. If it sold to a local buyer then say so. If you might have another coming in then say so. I haven't suggested that you sell it to Martin, only that you conduct yourself in a more professional manner.

Simon

I admire you for being in a position were you can post regularly to help people on the forums that you frequent.

You are right I am trying to earn a living from selling Porsche parts and restoring 944's and selling them on. If its a crime to try and support my family in an honest way with hard work rather than cream off the government and sit in a couch in front of a computer or tv all day then I am sorry.

Not sure why you feel like regularly personally attacking me but if you would like to discuss this in a professional manner please do not hesitate to contact me on 07514 944964 or text me your number and I will gladly give you a call.

regards

I reckon we need a thumbwrestle to sort this one out once and for all.

Indeed! So let's play nicely everyone? [:D]

For what it's worth, I think you either sell via auctions, or you commit to the first person to contact you, and pay you via whatever way you require. Anything else makes no sense. [8|]

Let's not make this personal, or argue business models on the forum. If you don't like someone's way of selling, buy elsewhere and they'll soon get the message. If a business is working well, then why criticise it?

Well i received my parcel on monday elliot, i havnt opened it yet due to work, but i,m not verry hopefull of the dash being verry good.
The packaging isnt looking good, looks like its had a rite old journey up to me, and , i asked for a drive shaft to be packaged aswell, i thought it might have been wrapped and then secured in the box with the dash, it looks like the dash was wrapped up, then the driveshaft was rememberd, so the box was split open enough to get the shaft in, and it was, just shoved in, not even wrapped, to just bounce around on the inside of the dash, i,.m not to impressed, but i shall open the box tomorro and let you no what i find. . . .
Dave

Hi Dave

Please let me know what has happened and I will contact the courier and refund you if there is any damage.

Please call me to let me know tomorrow.

Regards Elliot.

Well i opened my package tonight and its not good, yes the top of the dash is fine, but the lower part on the o/s has a crease running all the way down it, and the metal backing is crumpled ( perhaps dropped on its end ), there are also a few scratches and gouges on the o/s lower part aswel, the inside is a bit batterd and there is alot of cv grease ( from the driveshaft) all over.
I dont have any idea if any of the mounting brackets etc are bent or out of shape as i dont have another dash handy to compare it to. . . BUGGER ,
Dave
