So who's name was drawn out if the hat?

Hi Elliot,

What's the condition of the rear headliner panel? Normally they warp and lose their shape...much like mine has!

Also, whats the condition of the heater control unit in the dash (non-A/C and just above the stereo head unit)? Been after one of these for a while but all the ones I find have big scratches over the windscreen demist and air recirculate buttons and look a mess!

Cheers!

Are the rear seatbelts up for grabs and in good condition??

Mine doesn't have any and the wife wants the kids strapped in when they travel in the back.

What year is your car?

Not possible unfortunately, presuming that it is a 1986 model year car. 1987 model year cars (which could be built in 1986) will already have three point inertia belts fitted. a 1986 Turbo will probably have inertia reel lap belts fitted.

The car already has provision for three point belts (from the first 924), with the mounting plugged by a large plastic screw on the C pillar, but the brackets that the later inertia reel type belts require isn't there.

Probably the best option for you will be to have a firm like QuickfitSBS re-web your inertia lap belts making them into a fixed three point belt, with the in-line inertia reel. Failing that the only realistic other option is to fit fixed belts anchored to the existing two points and to the mount on the C pillar.

Re-reading: do you not have anything fitted in your car at all??? Whether you have fixed laps, inertia laps, or nowt at all, my advice still stands, although youll need to find a set of inertia lap belts used for the best solution.

As with the mounting in the C pillar, the base mounts are there in all 924s and 944s, beneath the squab and carpet.
