Hi all, I was on Pistonheads yesterday and come across this show, Cars in the Park, held at Newby Hall near Ripon on the 8th of May this year. I've checked out the website http://www.carsinthepark.org.uk/ and it is the same guys that held the Lotherton Hall show we attended last year. It looks a cracking show and venue, Ripon isn't too shabby a place either. Wendy and I are going and are wondering if anybody else wants to join us? It would be great to have a good showing from the Region 3 guys and girls. Have a look at the site and if anybody is up for it add your names to the post and we'll make arrangements nearer the time.

You will need to register on the site. Once registered, login and update your car group to Porsche Club GB. This means all of our cars are parked together. We all need to buy our tickets in advance.

I've had a look on the site and display cars can start arriving from 9.00am ready for the gates to open for the public at 11.00 am. So for those members wishing to go down in convoy, I suggest we get there no later than 10.15 am. This will give us plenty of time to park up etc, grab a coffee and have a natter before the gates open to the public.
What I suggest is, the northern members of the club meet at the Washington Service Station on the A1M from 8.00am, looking to leave at around 8.30am. We'll then head down to Scotch Corner services to pick up the southern members of the club. It takes roughly 40 mins (at normal speeds) to get to Scotch Corner so we should arrive no later than 9.15am. Then at around 9.30am we'll head down to Newby Hall which is around 45mins away.
Don't forget your ticket!
Should be a great and day and hope to see loads of Porsches heading down in convoy.
