Castle Combe June 29, 911 50th

I have been to Castle Combe today and come away with all the tickets they had left as the response to this has been fantastic.
The stand we have is at the busiest part of the paddock outside the Tavern and Strawford centre on hard standing. There will be in excess of 50 Porsches on the stand with some cars coming from OPC Bristol and Swindon.

The Parade laps are limited to 50 cars and we are just about there with that but we have been given extra tickets for the stand and entrance.

[8D] I have had an idea. [8D]

As some people were a bit disappointed that the parade laps are being controlled by a pace car and as there will be in excess of 50 Porsches together, we can have an exclusive Porsche only, full blown track session.

The maximum allowed is 28 cars for 20 minutes and the cost is £750.00 or £26.78 each obviously more if we do not get the 28 cars.

There are a couple of sessions available at the moment and they are just after lunch.

I will be up for it in the race car and could probably talk Mick into it in his track car so we just need 26 others. You can still take it steady and go at your own pace knowing you will be respected by the other Porsche drivers.

If you just post here that you are interested then we can see if we get close and maybe worth doing

Look forward to hearing from you

Best regards Stuart

Hi Stu,

Will the fast sessions require helmets etc (I would assume they will) and can passengers be included?

Cheers

Steve

If you check the club booking form on the Combe website, the pre booked track session price is £25 per session. I booked two sessions at that price by calling their office.

The exclusive sessions are slightly more as they are exclusive and not so many on track.

I will probably do the same as you as we only have 4 people interested.

What times have you booked for?

I've booked 10.45 and 12.45 both are classic and retro sessions. I'd also be up for a Porsche only session. The cost on the day is £35 for one of the other sessions, so as long as I don't have any issues on the 2 booked outings then I may be up for a third for a similar price.

Stu, forget to say whilst on phone to you, could I get another ticket of you Saturday for my mate whose coming down also, he just joined pcgb recently. Thanks, i or him settle up with u Saturday.

Thanks.

Shame about not enough numbers for porsche only session...!! Would have thought would of got a fair few people interested.

Yes that's ok Stu, within reason the entry is unlimited but the Parade lap session is limited to 50 Porsches.

We are just about 10 cars for the speed session so not even half way there. We will leave this open until Thursday to see if we get any more.

Do I have to be a member of PCGB to request a couple of tickets??

Only purchased my Boxster 987 last Saturday & haven't had chance to join the club yet...

Cheers

Hi Colin
Welcome to Porsche Club
It sounds like you will be joining anyway so that's not a problem and we need as many Porsches as we can get to put on a great show.
Not sure if you will get on the parade session but it will be good to see you and your Boxster

Regards Stuart
