My name is Ray and joined PCGB this week (Nov 2021) and I will be picking up my first Porsche tomorrow - Cayman 981 GTS.
I'm West Yorkshire based, so R7 I believe is my region.
I hope to get involved in some of the meets and posting here on a more regular basis.

Apologies, I should have given a few more details.
15 plate, 16k on the clock, white, alcantara with GTS interior and PDK.
I was seriously swaying back and forth between manual and PDK, but the car at Redline was a peach and ticked all the right boxes in terms of previous owner (PCGB sticker on the car), history, options and the service Redline offered. I can't wait to pick her up tomorrow and for spring to arrive!
Judging from the model you’ve picked, you are obviously a man of impeccable taste. Fabulous car - you cannot fail to enjoy it.
Looks like it already has grilles fitted too. Hope to meet up somewhere in the North and see it in the flesh. All the best - enjoy your new car.

I'm considering the same as it's on P Zero's at the moment. I'll probably get some wear out of them over winter and change them over. Did it really change the car for you in terms of handling?

Yes I look forward to meeting up as well when things get warmer again.

When new the PS4S eliminated the noisy tyre scrubbing at parking speeds, it did return slightly as they wore down
The PS4S take a fair bit of `running in` to feel the best of them, at least 1/2mm. Has been the same on the current GT4
If not already by Redline, have the wheel alignment / geometry checked - set

I’ll be needing new tyres on my GT4 come spring - currently on Dunlops and I’m unsure which route to take. I don’t need Cup Sport type but be interested in other owners views please?
To Dunlop or not?
Thanks

I’ll see how I get on with the Pirelli’s. sounds like an equally good tyre for the 981 and down to taste.
A great choice of Porsche (not that I am biased or anything) and I am sure you will enjoy it as the miles pile on.
Re tyres, there is a lot of information and opinion on here.. At the moment Michelin Pilot Sport are well regarded, but get an order in early as supply is currently a bit patchy. This is a recent thread on the subject.
