Kent Region 25, 16 Caymans registered to the region. 2nd Wednesday of the month 7.30pm at the Kentagon, Brands Hatch, enter through Main Gate A20, mention PCGB at barrier

Steve, region 4 I have just bought my Cayman s, gen 1. Looking forward to my first pcgb track day on the 31st May, I hope to learn alot.

Hi Steve, glad to hear of a new member, enjoy the track day, where is it at and will you have an instructor?

It is at Blyton park, full day with instructor, really looking forward to it. The only thing I am not so keen on (even though I have a bike licence) is the idea of wearing a helmet in my car.

Hi Steve. Only just picked this up and have now put you on the list on Page 4. Hope you enjoyed the Blyton track day. I was there last year and had a great day out. Jeff

Hi Jeff I am a member and occasionally go to the R24 meetings I have a 2008 Cayman S in guards red and a sand beige interior previous was Boxster 2003 regards Martin

Thanks Martin, and wlecome to the forum. I'll put you on the list. Look forward to hearing from you here and, hopefully, meeting up with you at some time. Jeff

Hi, i have finally got my backside in gear and recently joined the club, i drive an 06 Cayman S in seal grey with black leather and 19 carrera s alloys. In my opinion the finest handling Porsche and a better car than my previous 997![;)] My local region is Hampshire and look forward to meeting any club members out and about. ps....i have missed the deadline....does anyone know of or have a spare infield pass for the Silverstone classic?

Hi Adrian, Good to have you on board and glad to hear that you've found out what we all know here to be the case re Cayman vs 911...! Look forward to meeting up with you some time and hope that you manage to get some Classic tickets too. Jeff

Hi Alun, I have just joined club (yesterday) so still mastering the web site!, no Porsche YET but looking at Caymans - particularly the R type. I have seen one in Peridot that fits the bill the only thing that is holding me back is the fact that it was originally used at the Porsche driving experience centre at Silverstone so will have had a hard first 1500 miles, wondered what you or any other members feel about this? Current car: Audi TT TDI. I live near Chester so am in Region 5, do you attend any meetings?

Hi Nigel, Welcome to the Club and the forum. The Cayman R you're looking at certainly will have had a hard early life at the PEC, but it will have been well maintained and Porsches are designed to be driven hard. Ask to have a look at the diagnostic test results to make sure that there are no rev over-ranges in category 3 and above (if you're purchasing the car from a PC they will have done this before offering the car for sale with, if appropriate, the Extended Warranty). Hope you find a good car. There are plenty of excellent Gen 2 examples about, so don't rush into a purchase. Good luck..! Jeff

Hi Nigel Welcome to the forum. I would have to agree with Jeff. I don't got to the regional meets much, but try to go to the Porsche events. Hope you get your car soon. Let me know how you get on. Are you going through OPC Chester to buy it? A&G

Hello all, I think I'm on the register now and just went to my first R20 meet last Monday - the only Cayman there! Where are the London Cayman owners?

Hi Chirag, Good to have you on board - I'll put you on the list [Page 4] where there are a couple of other R20-ers on the Cayman Register who occasionally post on the forum. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Cayman R vs Boxster S ownership. Enjoy the car and hope to meet up with you some time. Jeff

Ralph, Look forward to hearing from you on this forum. Kevan (Buddy) will be able to advise you regarding the Cayman Register and badge. BTW I've added you to the list on Page 4 (I presume that you're in R15). Jeff

Ralph, if you check in the Cayman FAQ section you will find the register form, fill it in and send to the club office emailis usually good for this and we will get you on the register
