....because we sat by the side of the road for an hour or more trying to help a fallen comrade with a puncture..............[;)]

Tom - try to pressure me to come to this drive on Sunday (in front of my wife) when I see you on Sat. There is a small chance I could get out of going to my nephew-in-law's kiddy party...

It's all about priorities Alex []
See you Sat-may be Sunday as well then ?!

As always to help out a mate - "you really really really need to come along on Sunday, its only a short drive but ti;ll be great to see everyone...."

So will that work?

Failing that "Clive is there and so is the Remey Martin........"

For those attending just Monday at Castle Combe, its best to enter via the 'Camp' entrance .

Looks like Caroline's driving in the afternoon then so can we have a radio just to make sure we don't get lost !!

Geoff

Yes, tickets at the gate. As Gary said earlier, best to enter via the 'Camp' entrance, dress code as appropriate...

Thanks to Gary and Jo for another super weekend!
Only Gary would risk a convoy through Cheddar Gorge on a Bank Holiday Monday! [8|]
A few unintended detours here and there, but a good run all the same.
Thanks for accommodating an interloper once again. It was great to see everyone.
The hotel even got the Remy in just for us! [:)]
Regards,
Clive

Many thanks Gary for organising a great day.

On Bank Holiday Sunday it was a real bonus to find the B4425 Burford to Cirencester completely empty, and good fortune and empty roads continued through Tetbury to Dunkirk. Very nice!

I eschewed the M way and continued past old haunts in Bristol, Avon Gorge and North Somerset to arrive on time for the start.

Running near the back of a 12 car convoy holds its own charms and challenges particularly when the radio reception begins to falter. Nevertheless Jayne and I made good progress through the pack and could very well have been on the podium if the lunch break hadn't intervened.

The afternoon Magical Mystery Tour saw Alan demonstrating that guys can multitask by driving, programming sat nav, and phoning Gary, whilst at the same time finding some genuine Devon style lanes in Somerset.

Guys and Gals many thanks for your company it made a great day. Here are a couple of photos to get the thread going. No doubt proper photographers will be along in due course with a better record of events.

Hope you have (had) a good day at Combe.

Cheers

Well that was a hectic one.....[:)]

Safely back home after a lovely drive in the truck....[&:]
Sadly they couldn't source the tyres so that was the result..

However I still had a superb weekend out with the register and owners.
I was disappointing the amount of times we did get split up as a group but it wasn't unexpected, Bank holiday weekend at a tourist location is always going to have its issues but I thought seeing that amount of people at the Gorge, does show what an attraction is it... even the drivers had time to take in the views.[;)]
We could have all stayed at home to miss the traffic but it was great to see such superb machinery out being enjoyed and members socialising throughout the day.

It was also great to see new faces out with us and at least we made no 'airtime' to upset them [;)]
Well done to Alan for his mutlitasking, I'm sure our telephone conversations will be ones of laughter later in the year... so close and so near!!
Well done on the multitasking and taking front man.

Great to see so many of you at the racing today, lovely weather too [8D]

I'll upload and post my photos later, however a couple of lovely shots from Nick
