Clarkson in a 944 turbo

ORIGINAL: Fen

This has gone somewhat off-topic, but I have to agree with you there. I see your Kirsty Gallagher and raise you Gabby Logan.

How about Kirsty AND Gabby, better stop now. [;)]

What I find a bit annoying about VBH is that strange English affliction for pronouncing R as W. What is that? It's not a lisp or speech impediment, it's just a habit usually associated with the Upper Classes. She can drive though. I agree about Tiff too. All that powersliding makes Jack a dull boy. I still want their jobs though...
As for profiling our cars (or modded ones at that) I am now in contact with the Editor of '911 and Porsche World' who is keen to do some sort of feature on some special examples. I can't remember if Lil was profiled in this magazine ( I believe so), but I'm sure that there's enough versions to come up with a great article. I'd be very loath to lend my car to one of those shows to drive. I wonder if they cover everything with insurance?
Oh, don't worry I'm well aware that Aussies aren't made of all things sugar and spice too.[:)]

Maybe she can drive, but there's seems to be a lot of editing whenever she's on track, she's obviously a speed junky so I guess she's ok overall.

Suzi Perry is another that I couldn't, even with my 10 pint beer goggles on...
If that's your honest opinion of SP, I suggest you seek the professional services of a psychiatrist - and an optician - at the soonest possible opportunity!

VBH is a big Boxster fan, but I agree that she does rather get on your nerves sometimes!

I remember the days when Top Gear always ended with the message "drive safely" - now it appears to suggest that you should "drive like a dick at every opportunity".

Yes it was 911 & Porsche World that covered Lil. They contacted me and were very keen to feature hot 944's and even talked of a followup as she was not totally tuned at that point. It was about a year before mine that they covered Markus' 3.0L Turbo and a couple before that when it was the turn of Andrew S' old 2.8. It would be nice if they kept up the trend with another one this year Partick so 'go fer it' [:D]

Well I guess VBH and SP are both OK, SP more of a babe. More men probably fancy Nigella Lawson then those 2 put together though.

Penny Malory has more cred as a proper ex racing driver, she demands respect from any car enthusiast.

TBH I am amazed that Clarkson likes the 951 so much. He slated the hugely accomplished 599 in a way that put him at odds with every other reviewer, I think this is the key really. He goes on about how much he hates the 911 and there is no better way to wind up beardy 911 types by saying that you don't actually hate Porsche because the 951 is one of your favourite cars.

Thats weird! I was thinking that a few days ago, Nigella is much nicer than those two combined. Nigella can cook, has a "certain something and is much more feminine that VBH or PM.

As for performance driving skill, VBH, PM or whoever would not hold a candle to Sabine Schmidt, especially on the Nurburgring. (apologies if i spelt it incorrectly).

I think Clarkson may genuinely love the 944 turbo, not just as a wind up for 911 drivers. Other motoring journos are of the same opinion, eg Tiff. The 944 is, after all a car that was engineered with perfect weight distribution and being front engine/RWD is popular with journo's because its easier to throw the car into impressive looking (for the camera) powerslides with that configuration. I doubt JC would have the talent to do that in a 911 or Boxster without losing control and going into a spin.

I see this as a perfect opportunity to raise the profile of the model among the public.

Nigella is about the size of VBH and PS combined, possibly plus Penny Mallory as well. [:'(]

Sabine is head and shoulders the best of the bunch. I have joked before "who would have thought my ideal woman would turn out to be German?"

I don't consider myself Fangio by any means, but I found my 3.2 Carrera with LSD pretty easy to do impressive powerslides in.

I quite like Sabine as well, she seems like a really nice girl, however, not a great looker. The question is, can Sabine cook?

I was talking about JC's lack of driving abillity in not being able to powerslide a 911 without spinning- I was not having a pop at 911 handling. I like the 911 and Boxster.

I kinda like Sabine's looks. She's not perfect but she has a certain radiance just the same. Apart from being a wonderful co driver too. [:D]

I think Sabine is quite attractive, but then I tend to go for pretty but quirky rather than outright stunner.

I wasn't defending any 911 handling honour, I was pointing out that I was comfortable with mine sideways so it doesn't take a driving God. Unless you think it does in which case cheers for the compliment! [:D]

I like the 911 as well, but not any that ran concurrent with the Boxster.

We can see the way to John's heart!

She'd give you a right earful if you weren't driving fast enough!

Talking of cars profiled in 911 & Porsche World, most seemed to be owned by journalists. Is that because they don't get enough volunteers?

Yes but somehow that would be a turn on. Being remonstrated by Sabine in German for being a pussy at the Ring, well perhaps I should stop now...

Yes I noticed that in 911 and P W. They all seem to be editors. Editors of what?
