Clear Away the Cobwebs Sunday 2nd April 2023

Just a quick update.

Everyone who has confirmed via the booking form as requested, should have a confirmation email with start times etc, therefore if anyone who filled in the registration form hasn't had a reply, please let me know ASAP. Above all please remember to store the information on your smart phone or make sure you print it off prior to attending as no route maps will be given out on the day, hence why we asked you to pre-register.

Can I also remind members to refrain from sharing these instructions with others who have not registered for this event via the link, or we are at risk of this event simply turning into a free for all, remember we restrict the numbers not just to allow us to police it but above all for your enjoyment and safety.

Unfortunately on this occasion because of limited parking and the requirement to pre-order food we are unable to add any late comers to the brewery parking, restaurant or tour.

Thank you all for your support, see you all Sunday.

OMG what an idiot…for one reason or another I was convinced this was next Sunday…it’s only now reading the mail whilst laid in bed in a Centerparcs over in Holland that I’ve realised what an idiot I am!

Apologies Greg & Deb, for obvious reasons I won’t be there…if I owe any £ for the lunch reservation please let me know. Hope it’s a great run.

Hi Greg, Just to confirm that I will not be able to meet at Cross Lanes. I will catch up with you all in the Masham area, hopefully before you all disappear off for the tour / lunch.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to participate in tomorrow’s drive. I’m sure you will all have a great day. Enjoy the sunshine and brewery visit ☀️🏎

To All the organisers of the event, I had a brilliant time this morning, we have a great club full of fantastic people, wish I had more time to enjoy the drive, hopefully everything goes to plan and you all have a wonderful day, with a safe drive home. Again thank you.

Jonathan

Thanks again to everyone who came out and made today yet another successful and fun R3 event. The weather couldn't have been any kinder although apologies for the last minute road closure, it just shows even with meticulous planning and an early morning road closure check, somehow, something always springs up to create havoc but thankfully in true R3 style everyone just took it in their stride.

Special thanks to Philip & Jacquie and Mike & Barbara our fabulous pathfinders for test driving our route and of course our new RO, Mr Carnaffin who helped massively with logistics.

Hope you all enjoy a well deserved drop of Black Sheep tonight.

Cheers,

Greg & Deb.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to all r3 particular all those involved in organizing blow away cobwebs today. Fab day really well attended and really enjoyed the day thanks all. We look forward to the next one .

Thanks Greg & Deb (and supporting team) for organising today's run. Great fun - but sorry we had to bale early. At least the car got a clean it probably wouldn't have had!

P.S. Non-car sick passenger wanted. (Mine has developed a fault this year!!)

What a start to the season, good weather and fabulous driving roads and scenery, it’s worth driving it again (a bit slower) to have a good look 😉

Thanks again to Deb, Greg and Dave for their organisational skills, as well as those who always contribute without recognition 👍 Looking forward to many more as soon as possible…..next Sunday looks like good weather. 😎

Just to say thank you to Deb & Greg for organising this fab day out and even the weather played ball as usual 😀. This new RO needs a longer induction to avoid closures 😂

Philip & Jacquie

Thanks Greg, Deb and Dave for a great day out, keep the sun shining and the shiny side up, had a great day on scenic roads with good company, car washed and ready for the next adventure.

PS TJ is shattered (Thank You a quiet night).

Mike, Barbara and TJ

A big thanks to Greg, Deb, Dave, Mike and Barbara for a fab day out from us. Unlike Mike, my car is filthy 😂

Thanks very much for organising it, my son and I had a great time. Lovely food and a crackin route, my old 993 needed a good run after being laid up. I would have liked to meet more of you but unfortunately my son got a bit car sick and so I needed to hang back and let him recover.

thanks to everyone involved in pulling together and organising yesterday’s run. After an early change of route due to route closure, I found myself in a fantastic spot of being behind Randall’s thundering V8 Pan, and and John’s bellowing C4s !! I’ve had many comments on runs in the past from those travelling behind my car, but the notes/tones from the two vehicles ahead of me yesterday were fab!!

Just to say that our “leaders” (Mike & Barbara) realised that the road closure was actually a leftover April Fool’s joke - which explains why, having set off first, we found ourselves behind a load of Porsches!

Many thanks to Greg and Deb, Dave, Mike and Barbara for a really enjoyable and informative first run of the year.

Here's to many more!

Drive safe

Black Sheep Brewery to go into administration.

PS. And no, that big copper vessel would not fit in my garage...

Yes, I also saw this on a thread and had to check it wasn't some daft post at first. really sad if it goes, I suspect they are releasing the bad debts of covid etc and might well rise from the ashes as a version 2.2.

Maybe it should be a R3 members-only bar with a built-in brewery!!
