Collected today: Carrara White 997 Turbo S

Still not had proper time to use the car which is a first when picking up a new machine for me. With both the last 997's I took them to the South of France just days after collection.

Anyway with the holiday break looming it will get some proper use as we are only just over 100 miles now.......already though I agree the sport mode and use of paddles is my favourite, sport plus keeps wanting to downshift or hold low gears at slow speeds so not ideal in slow moving or commute traffic but probably right when out for a blast. Love the carbon seats, sound system is tip top and the noise generally is better but have spent a while this week checking out performance exhausts on line via youtube and am thinking.............anyone here swapped out a standard turbo s exhaust for one with a deeper sound? If so what?

Have you checked this one out on YouTube?....

Good, but maybe too good?

I like the way he says "As you can SEE, it's makes the car very aggressive in sound..." I think he might mean "HEAR"!![:D]

How much, I wonder..........?[&:] Might make 100dB at trackdays rather tricky.........[:(]

Bye bye warranty!

Yes I have - as per my signature - although on a gen 1 car not a gen 2. Tubi and Cargraphic are usually top choices.

Yes I have seen that youtube clip but when I then google the product I cant find anything about it, it sounds spot on

Hi Gary. Yep, got Sue's message and had some interesting correspondence with BBC after. Basically they needed it for several quarter mile dashes. I said that they could poodle around in it or have it in the studio, but not that happy on Hammond maxing it with 100 miles on the clock. They understood and have made plans elsewhere as filming was this week. Did I miss a chance to immortalise the car or was I sensible?
Hard to say really, I'd of gone for immortalised 'as seen on TG' but it is a personal preference- I believe the cars are more than capable of it.

You have to love the hero's who try it on but sometimes they just want to see it go, knowing full well they are going to get shown up [:)]

As far as the PDK changingup too early, I'm told that when in sport mode it will hold the gears much longer, those with PDK will probably confirm if so..

and finally.... Hello Alex [:)]

Hi Gary, how's life treating you - been a while I know.

By the way, took my Turbo in for a Winter Check yesterday at my OPC - they gave the car a full check and fix my headlight washer issue. Expecting a big bill... FREE!! I couldnt believe it, they even washed all the dirty salt off! Result.

Greg your car looks lovely but then I might be ever so slightly biased. I'm impressed with the fact that you have gone for an interior thats not all black...not many people dare do that and if I had bought mine brand new I too would have specified a two-tone interior!

I'm glad you posted some pictures up as it shows me just how mine will look if I have my front lip and side skirts painted!
