Cotswold rally

Some people were asking about this today. There are places left, but only because the number of tickets was increased for the Golden Jubilee year.

So, if you want to go get in touch with Geoff or myself and we'll add you in. [:)]

Number is not relevant Mike as you can set off whenever you want after the briefing is done so a 944 convoy is very possible if folk fancy it...

Picking my car up Friday so will be there Sunday [:)]

Glad to hear you got it sorted, it sounded odd coming in on three cylinders! [&:]

Another really outstanding Cotswold Rally. What better way can anyone think of spending a sunny Sunday than driving, eating and socialising with friends. Why more people don't go I struggle to understand, but the 120-odd carloads of people will have to book early for next year when it goes back to 100 cars. Thanks to everyone who came along.

See you all on May 22nd. [:)]

Thanks Paul - car didn't miss a beat on the way home!
Replaced section of wire and plug - used it twice since great.

Excellent, glad it was the problem, was going to ask is there much difference in power between it and the 2.5

Rather more torque! Partially cancelled out by slightly higher gearing and extra weight - sunroof, electric seats, soundproofing, power steering, aircon etc

Mine doesnt seem to rev as freely but that may well be down to its history .

Totally different drive though, far more GT than go-kart!

And thanks again - I wouldn't have even gone there!

Glad you got that sorted Mike, thought that might have got expensive!

First rally we have done and thoughly enjoyed the day, what weather, and the picnic at Blenheim....excellant
Thanks to Geoff and everyone involved with the organisation.

Here are some pics of the day.............

Thanks to all those who gave up their time to organise the cotswold rally, was a great day and great weather again.

My navigation team did a great job as well, Yudra did sorting the maths on the distance corrections, and Yasmine (4) did well with shouting out when the distances were appearing on the trip counter - kept her busy and between us there were no wrong turns. Had a nice run following a couple of speedsters after we caught them on the way back, that doesn't happen often and is possible my favourite older 911.

Didn't get to see many of the 944 crowd - saw Andy's car looking smart on the lawn but missed the man himself, some other nice looking 44 and 24's around. Was also nice to see Beaky back out on an event!

Another excellent day out from Geoff Ives and his team. A really enjoyable route and a superb stop at Blenheim. What a glorious backdrop for all those lovely cars. It was nice to have a chat with a few people on the day. Nice to meet you Mike, we had a nice chat at Cornbury House before the start. Glad you got your problem fixed, it's nice when the fix is easy and cheap, the problem is always knowing where to look!!
Look forward to seeing you all ther eagain next year.
