Cotswold Rally

I've been advised that the Cotswold Rally is selling out fast. Mainly to Boxster owners. [:'(]

I assume that you don't want the 944 Register to be "embarrassed" by the upstart Boxster Register. Get your entries in quickly, as it WILL SELL OUT before everyone who wants a ticket gets around to booking. Every year there are dissapointed people who miss out - don't be one of them! [:)]

Same with the Frontrunner Rally. Although the free event is open to all members, the rally needs to be booked NOW if you want to do it.

Entries are coming in even faster than in previous years.
Numbers are limited to 150 cars so it looks like it will be a sell out again.
If you would like me to send you an entry form and regulations send an email request to

Cotswold: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=427374 Frontrunners, it's the main event of the PCGB calndar for front-engined models over the last 5 or so years. Both have been extensively promoted in the PP, are on the website and in the "events" faq for at least the 944 Register forum area! [:)] Frontrunner is a free event for Members to turn up to, but the organised drive has to be booked for obvious reasons. The Cotswold is one of the most popular events every year, but as numbers are limited there are always a load of people who try to book at the last minute and are disappointed. As always, keep an eye on PP for events, check the forum for updates and feel free to contact the office where the staff can help. Geoff Ives organises these two events, so is the first point of contact, but all the ROs and relevant RSs should have had details ages ago - it was certainly discussed at the last Worker's Conference.

ORIGINAL: CVN187Y Fingers crossed that I'll be in both rallies in my 924S. [:D]
Near enough to a 944 to count against a Boxster! [:)]
I did own a 944S, but prefer my 924S. I have always liked the 944's. (924S, slightly quicker, more economical and quicker acceleration. 944 engine and parts in a 924 body, very hybrid[8D]). Only joking.[:D] Given half the chance I would have a 944 Turbo SE. A very fine four cylinder Porsche [;)]

You have all booked, haven't you? rumour has it that the 365 Register might put on a better show than us! [:'(]

She's done Bicester. Not long ago she was asking about a luggage rack to go over the boot of the car. I just hope she never thinks of a towbar and trailer for it!

[:D]My wife will like it if there is shops along the way. I'm trying to persuade her to come along. [:)]I had a phone call from Geoff Ives confirming I'll be there.[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] Something to look forward too.

My entry forms sent off today. I'll proably have Mrs Webb on the maps this year so we might only see you at the start..... Entry also sent off for Cheltenham Cleeve Vale Rotary's Presott Classic (park in the paddock, and 2 runs up the hill for £46 plus only £5 for additional runs). I'll forward contact details to you again...I think last time I did this you probably didn't get it because of the PCGB e mail problems.

Cannell & I are doing pictures again so you might get your car in Porsche Post. Obviously I'm not saying we will be biased as to what cars we photograph but it is difficult to put in lots of 944 pictures if they aren't in the majority attending the event - you know what I mean. [:-] Obviously it is easier photographing Boxsters as it doesn't matter which end you take. [;)]

Am now booked up for both events [:D]. Always great days out though seems I am number 1 in the running order for the Frontrunner rally so bang goes my usual cunning plan of following someone else...[&o]

In numbers you are exactly the same with 5 cars booked !! and you are behind early 911. What has happened to what used to be the best Register in the Club?

Well as Rick & I will be there taking pictures that should count as another two so seven? Except Rick might not come in a 944 and I might use the Land Rover so I can stand on the roof. So five is desperately limp. Come on chappies this is an excellent event, Geoff always arranges good weather. If you aren't there we will invariably talk about you and you won't like what we say.
