Cotswold Rally

I'm there as a "worker" as well. Perhaps the 944 numbers are low because we're all volunteers, so don't count in the official list. Pah. [:D] It is a bit pathetic that the 24/44/68 Registers are so poorly represented. We're always seen as the real enthusiasts and this was almost a Frontrunner event in past years. Oh well, if no-one wants to go you can't force them to enjoy themselves! [&:]

I will have 2 of my cars there but as a Worker I wasn't going to count myself. In any case it wouldn't help you unless to made my 924S an honourary 944..[8|][:D]

ORIGINAL: georgethackray Our confirmation arrived today (Thanks Geoff). We're number 44, as in 944 [:)]
I'm way ahead of you george....mel and I are 34 as in ...erm...34.....[:D][:)][:)] race you down though..!!!! [;)]

944 Prototype? [:D]
Wrong way round Sims. The 944 was before the 924S.
Can you have a retrospective prototype? A 924S is a 944 any way. They just put the wrong body on it. [8|]

Well I'm booked too...got my number yesterday. Maybe I'm one of the five!! Anybody know what happened to Rick's photos of last year's....can never find them on his website!

I think Rick is part way through upgrading / moving his web site so he's not been able to put new photos on there for some time now. I've been waiting to see the photos from last year's frontrunners.

Correct as far as Rick's sites go but it is motoring towards release very soon I believe. I have a number of pictures from Frontrunner & Cotswold but certain blue colours are very difficult to photograph [;)]

Paul Some novice questions - do I need to be a PCGB member to attend the rally? What form does it take - is it more social than race? Would it be appropraite to bring my 12 year old son?

ORIGINAL: 944 LIL Paul Some novice questions - do I need to be a PCGB member to attend the rally?
Yes it is a club event organised for members and local authorities will be informed for an event this size
What form does it take - is it more social than race?
It is a social gathering at Club HQ followed by a drive through the Cotswolds following a Tulip map provided by Geoff the organiser. It is NOT in any way a race, there is no timing and no competitive element.
Would it be appropraite to bring my 12 year old son?
Yes it is very much a whole family event and you will definatley need a passenger to read out the Tulip directions to you. My own sons play the part of navigators and it gets everyone involved. Normally there is some form of family award [/quote]

Geoff Keen to attend - are there still spaces? The website is down at the moment so cant join (i'm not a member at the mo) Can you PM me the forms

Easiest way to join is to call the office, 01608 652911. You do need a membership number to book, this is a properly organised event and there are local authority and police requirements. Also book in Frontrunner, it's the main event of the year for front-engined models, or FWD as I've ben known to call them before Oli chips in! [:D][:D] Blenheim Palace will also have a massive Register turnout, and Silverstone Classic is a regular for the 944 boys and girls.
