Cotswolds Weekend 10-11 May

Super weekend - great locations and a great drive researched and put together by Gary and Jo, thanks to them for their efforts. Often we forget the amount of preparation that goes into these events and the thought put into the itinerary to keep everyone happy.
Rob, another success for the 997 Register - many thanks.

Excellent pics, team! I'll try and post my feeble effort later!

Thanks Gary for a great weekend. You really worked hard to make it such a proffessional event. Both Lesley and I had a great time with good company, food and of course the cars! I hope to see you all soon.

Ian[:)]

Thanks for your kind comments guys, the feeling really is mutual..[:)] so glad everyone enjoyed the weekend

Ian welcome to the forum, really nice to meet you and Lesley over the weekend, sadly non of my pictures picked up the real colour of your paintwork.. looks great with the kit on [:)]

Gary

Thanks for a brilliant day on the Saturday, woke up Sunday early still with a grin [:D][:D][:D] on my face. I was very torn between driving back up to be with you for the Sunday [:)] or sticking to my commitment down in Surrey[:(]. 8 cars on 1st day and no colour the same!

The company was excellent, thank you all, and young Tom said it was the 'best day ever!'

It was a first for me, but definitely won't be my last.

Thanks Gary - let me know when next one is, and I do my very best to get there

Jon

Jon, great to hear you both enjoyed the new experience and it won't be your last [:)]
The next driving event is the South Wales on June 8th.. a few other events to be announced shortly though

I know we quickly mentioned it but if Tom would be interested in writing a small item about his day out with us, I'm sure we'd all love to hear about it from a different prospective [:)]

As you saw and I think I said earlier, as a register, we can do colour [:D]

I have a few more pictures to post of the close ups of the cars and drivers..

Peter- you did a find and replace on IMG to image. Which stopped all the large versions of the pics being found.

You need to change them back to IMG for the file names.

Great pics though guys, excellent work! [:)]

So the following would have worked (but I think you are now changing them on photobucket instead)

I have a weekend off and he's after my job.... [;)]

Alex, you'd need to learn where the spell checker is first...[;)] [;)] ( and yes I checked this for a change myself... before posting) :ROFLMAO:

Great pictures Peter, are they links to the thumbnails rather than files though ??

garyw

Gary
I simply used Alex's instructions 'Best way to post pics' and it worked (at the second attempt). Might try reducing the file sizes in photoshop next time, and remember to airbrush out the number plates that everyone else manages to do!

What I do is:

1) Open in Photoshop
2) Apply auto-levels, auto-colour, auto-contrast
3) Crop to the area with all the good stuff in
4) Take out visible number plates (polygonal lasso tool, eyedropper tool for correct colours, then gradient fill tool)
5) Blur out anyone's face that I think may not want to be on the web
6) 'Save for web' as JPEG
7) Exit Photoshop
8) Right-click the image in explorer, (XP Powertool) Resize - select large
9) Upload to photobucket
10) Generate HTML in photobucket
11) Edit all tags to [IMG] in Textpad
12) Post on the forum

I also do some touch-ups for certain pics such as removing objects. For example, there WAS a very large dustbin to the right of Gary's car...
