Have a great time guys.

. . . . Can you also let me know the details requested and interest in visiting the Tapestry.

garyw

I know it's not the main point of this trip but for those who haven't seen the Bayeux tapestry before I'd recommend that you try and find the time to fit this in. (I'm sure Gary has this covered but I wasted a lot of time tring to find parking at Robert Wace, closest on the map, but the best place to park is at Du Parc Michel d'Ornano 49:16:23N, 000:42:09W).

Changes every day!!

Port En Bessin is the area closest to the Sully Chateau. A few beers in the grounds early evening sound good but it seems to be forecast to be cold so indoors will do!

keep watching.

Gary don't forget to let me have your mobile

Cheers

Everyone should now have a list of peoples names and reg/tel numbers- so if you see someone you should be able to recognise them [:D]
Michael, my number is on the document too...

I thought it best as the majority are meeting at the 'secret' Friday night rendezvous point

Weather outlook is looking good.. and the advance recon reports clear runnings on the M4 [:)]
See you all later...

Don't forget your reflectivejackets - and keep them in the car not under the front lid!

Have a great time. Sorry we can't join you.

It.. as you only need to keep the one for the driver in the cabin, the passengers can be kept in the boot [;)]
Mind you I don't think I saw anyone wearing one this weekend!!

All troops reported back safely... We've left two in France though acting as spies in the grass [:D]

Many thanks to all those that joined us over the weekend, myself and Jo had a great time.
Great to see some newbies out with us.. I sincerely hope you enjoyed your time out with us.
As always time seemed to beat us once again but hopefully it left everyone with a fun packed weekend.. !!

Great weekend, thanks to Gary and Jo for organising and a special award to Gary for dragging himself from his sickbed to hobble around in extreme discomfort for our benefit.

Should have done more research before we went but the various D Day stops were humbling, as a first time visitor to these locations, as it puts a lot into context. I'll be looking out for some reading material.

Some fun driving as well but I'll also be buying industrial sized quantities of RED touch up paint and a visit from Autoglass beckons!

Sorry there's no pics but my laptop blew up on Friday[] Better one's will follow I'm sure...

Hi Gary,Many thanks for organising such a brilliant trip-great company, fantastic driving, good food and accomodation, superb weather apart from the wind chill, and yet the cold seemed to be so in keeping with the somber nature of the historic sites we visited.I will certainly return in the future to spend more time, there is so much to see to appreciate the scale and enormity of the whole war effort on all fronts.Sorry you suffered so much with your foot, however Michele has just shown me an article entitled 'What's the Alternative For Gout?' which says that recent research at the University of California has shown that Montmorency cherries can help reduce uric acid levels, and can also help alleviate inflammation and pain in an affected joint. Cherry juice is also high in antioxidants, and may offer some protection against heart disease.Perhaps it might be worth a trip to the supermarket and get some Montmorency Cherrygood juice £1.39 from most supermarkets. Better get supping, and see if it helps! Hope things improve quickly for you, anyway. Kind regards to fellow D- day participants-and thanks again for a tremendous weekend one and all. See you all soon. Mike.

On the other hand, a large dose of Remi often helps.

Doesn't provide a cure but help numbs the pain somewhat! [8|]

Sounds like you all had a wonderful trip. I'm very envious.[8D]

Clive
