Dakota v River House

ORIGINAL: kitchens

Most of you on this site know me and may be wondering why I have not posted any comments as to this current situation I have been trying to be a peace maker behind the scenes and have spoken to both Alan and Ash as others have , to see if there was common ground to get this resolved ,my last conversation was with Ash on Saturday morning where he informed me he was meeting with Alan that day and would put my points forward .It was my intention to ask all parties to come along to the Stirling meeting and after the Police did there presentation we could have a meeting to iron out our differences ,in my mind changing the Official PCGB night to a different week and even a different night would solve this ie the second Wednesday of the month or whatever this would leave the long standing Tuesday and Thursdays as a social meet only and would not dilute the official club night As to date I have not received any correspondence so looks like it will not happen and as the Dakota has to be booked it leaves no time for people to change there plans .I will be going to the Stirling meet as most of you know that I am fund raising for a Rotary charity and have asked the club members to donate ,if there are members that are going to the Dakota I would ask them to also consider a donation thanks Bill and Mike So where do we go from here I can only sit on the fence for so long as my membership is close to renewal and after 15 years it is sad it has to come to this

Brian

I will ask everyone at Dakota for a donation for you.

Your points are noted, but again it would appear that your request, along with many others, has been disregarded or ignored.

Might it be an idea to have the Sherbrooke guys tonight voice their opinions to someone (i.e. you), and I could collate Dakota opinions. We then formalise these in writing to Alan/Ash and to the Club?

I still get the feeling that we're trying to fix something that isn't broken. Sherbrooke works, Dakota works, the "presentations/talks" work. So have these presentations at alternative venues (Sherbrooke / Dakota) monthly? Could it REALLY be that easy?
