Depreciation

ORIGINAL: mnk303 where in the Tip the Gearbox tunnel is narrower, . Thank you all for all your assistance, I hope to meet you all soon, I have paid my fees to join the club.
Martin, I'm not sure the tunnel is narrower on the Tiptronic against manual???... It matter not as you find its suits your needs perfectly[8D] and thats the important bit.. congratulations on the purchase- I totally agree in your buying methods - local and easy purchase makes it a lot more pleasant experience... I hope you make it to one of the Register events- certainly the modern day event [:D] garyw

Yes, I was surprised at that comment, not least because the gearbox is behind you. Maybe having just 2 pedals in the footwell instead of 3 creates a sense of extra space.

Or maybe because the adaptive seats are so much better and also because my doggy left knee dont hurt as I am not doing anything with it.

ORIGINAL: blueSL Look through the Porsche options list and you can easily identify options which, at best, will depreciate to 0 and at worst actually make the car more difficult to sell. My dealer told me of one car which stuck on the forecourt until they removed the horrendous "Carrera" or "Sport" stickers.
Yup, I agree. My OPC could not sell my previous C2PDK Cab until they removed the Carrera side sticker. Might be just luck, however, I like it and it is easily removed when you come to sell. I agree with all that there is a happy compromise between what sells & what you want. Nevertheless, my £90K Cab is now apparantly worth on £62K after only 7 months & 1000 miles. Most of that depreciation is caused by a plethora of extras. But I like it and as we have said 1000 times; no sell = no depreciation. [:D]
