Drive out and Charity Motor Event, Snetterton 23rd Nov.

For those from the South and South West who fancy a longer convoy run up to Snetterton on Sunday, there will be a pre-meet at South Mimms Services (M25/A1). We will be leaving there at 07:45 prompt to run up to Barton Mills and meet with the rest of the group. The route will be A1/A505/A11/A14/A11.

Just been notified that Augment left completing my car to the very last minute and the discovery of a worn part will now prevent me collecting the car tomorrow. Still plan to turn up but probably in the 964.
Cheers
Mick

Whose umbrella do I have?

Gutted for you Scott! At least you are fine and from what I heard the car is totally repairable.
I suddenly became aware that I was the back of the convoy... then heard what had happened after we pulled into Snetterton.

Nice to meet you, errrr briefly. I have to say considering its been on its side it is surprisingly undamaged, the rear wheel did catch the only bit of kerb which is what turned it over but the damage appears to be manly the drivers sill, front wing and the front bumper undertray, the wing mirror didn't even break off. I do appear to have a fuel leak though but i'm sure that's easily fixed. I had a 2.5hr wait for a recovery truck (thankful for the loan of the umbrella) I wouldn't leave it because there was an illegal travellers camp just literally the other side of that embankment

Gutted for you but hopefully the damage is as described and all is put well very soon. It was a truly dreadful day weather wise with plenty of standing water. I fully understand your desire to stay with the car [:)]

Nice to meet you all today and thanks for those who did the organising.

Cheers
Mick

Good to meet you Scott - the car is lovely and I'm sure will be fine.

Nice to see everybody in spite of the weather curtailing the day somewhat.

Will sort some pics soon.
