Hi Neil, you're added to the list, not that you can't just turn up anyway!!

Good point about cameras, be aware that Leicestershire Constabulary are quite active with mobile speed cameras and that the route to Melton Mowbray has 50 limits in places and is a well known motorbike route.....

That said, there is just one fixed camera in Melton Mowbray on the route (in a 30 zone), but if you go look at this link http://www.speedorsafety.com/speed-camera-maps/ it shows where mobile units *may* be - this is the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Safety Camera Scheme website.

As always, you are in control of your right foot, don't feel like you have to match the person in front's speed, be aware of your surroundings/speed limits and don't forget objects in the mirror may be further away when you drive a Porsche :ROFLMAO:
Goes without saying about the right foot, just I remember following Paul in a spirited drive from Super Sausage to Club HQ last year [8|]. Love the objects in the mirror quote :ROFLMAO:

Just seen this post can't make it this time but next time diary permitting,Thanks to Drew for putting this together hopefully the start of more R10 events .......

Wish I could join your guys ......sadly, I don't think I can, but if things change, I'll tag along if that's ok

Best wishes,

In response to some messages I've received I want to make it clear that this is not, nor ever has been, a club organised event, this is just me going for a drive inviting friends to come if they want through the medium of the forum with a suggested route in mind. If anyone wants to take this over as being a club event and all the rules and regs that will then need to apply, go for it. Equally happy if anyone wants to have the whole thread removed if this contravenes rule 99 subsection 15 paragraph a, just PM me and I will reach out to you all individually.

Not wanting to be a rebel, impose any suggested liability or take the p@%$, just a responsible individual.

Hi Drew.
Thanks for arranging this.
I assume by the above that someone has contacted you about possibly infringing some of the various rules & regs about car club events, which can be very misleading. I think the following statement from the MSA website should clarify things.

"where a group of persons, who may share membership of a Club, arrange between themselves to meet up and do something together, then such informal activities may not be construed as a Club event and do not require approval from the MSA.”

Kind regards
Andy

Hi all

Bright and sunny today so couldn't resist driving to Uppingham.

Have to pass on tomorrow's drive-out.

Have a great time.

Best
Guy

Good drive out today, so surprised to bump into so many members having a drive out too and all coincidentally choosing to go into the same pub at roughly the same time!!??

Hi all,
Firstly, thanks to Drew for organising today. A good time was had by all.....but....I caused a slight delay on the M1 on the way home!! I blipped the accelerator after a car pulled over, and the back end went in the wet! Big mess of my front end as I hit the central barrier at right angles!! Can’t work out how to upload a small photo but it’s not pretty!
Mark
