Hey strange question - is there any internet access, unfortunately I am on standby and if phoned would need an internet connection to fix whatever the issue is - I'd love to be there though but I know as soon as I arrive I will get a phone call murphy's law!!

Mark, you can use my mobile IE browser running at 3G speeds on my phone if it is just emails or something simply but I guess you probably need more... Didn't tick the box to use the phone as a modem so can't help with that...

You can ring them on 020 7987 4334 and find out if they have a wifi setup...

So close it's practically at the end of my road ... but (very) sadly I'm away all weekend.

Have a good craic chaps. And keep us posted of future such events. I'm gutted to miss this one.

Oli.

Hope to be there around 12 all being well but I'm not used to cars without sat nav and air con so may struggle to maintain my normal cool persona!

Any chance of a 15 jahre sticker Des?

Nick

Your hospitality was much appreciated by the Virgin who enjoyed the fuss being made of her, whilst Melv and I enjoyed our FatBurger Belly Busters. Good advice about maintaining condition whilst using the car for its intended purpose and am now looking for those steel wheels and Toyo 888's.

Hope to catch up at a track day before too long.

Thanks for a great day.

Nick

Thanks for organising Des and to everyone for making it such an enjoyable day.

Hope the Cotswold Rally was good fun - the other half won the battle, hence the no show!

Great pics Adrien.

Looking forward to the next one.

Fantastic venue Des, good job! I can see this become a regular event; third week of the month in the London region calendar is still free... either monthly or every other month would be great. What does everyone think, would you be up for meeting here on a regular basis?

The Chinese restaurant overlooking the London city airport would be a perfect dinner spot too.

Finally, got plenty of request for the tunnel run too, so if we can reach an agreement on what time of the day to do it (i.e. early morning or late night) then we are game...

It was good meeting some of you again at the Cotwolds Rally.

Blue skies,
Kish

Thanks chaps for the comps on the pics.

I agree - Yi Ban would make a lovely spot for a regular meet on the East side of town.

Fatboys Diner closes at 5pm every day, so I think Yi Ban will have to be the venue of choice.

Des/others, what do you think?

Problem with Yi Ban (the restaurant opposite city airport we made a stop after Fatboys) is parking; as you would have figured that river side spot is not really a parking space and we would have to commit to good numbers for them to reserve space in the carpark for a regular meet. For a one off dinner it is great but don't think it would work as a regular meet due to parking and guaranteeing numbers for a table in the restaurant which the fatboys don't require...

One of the thing Des proposed was meet at Fatboys followed by dinner at Yi Ban but it would be a one off and not regular meet.

Kish,
Yi Ban had sufficient parking around the front carpark (where we were supposed to park, not the riverside).

Des,
Is Yi Ban so busy every night that a table reservation is necessary? If there are 7-10 regulars, a single large table would provide flexibility.

Just bouncing ideas around at this stage, but Fatboys does not seem an option given they close at 5pm.

OK nice feedback. Fatboys was a taster, no good for evenings, but for a Day event fantastic. That's why wanted to show you all Yi-Ban which we can do Evenings they are very relaxed about numbers, normally the car park is emptyish.

So what I would propose for the next East London meet is this:
