Eynsham Hall - Display Cars needed

Time (past time if truth be told!) to start preparing for Eynsham Hall...

The theme this year across the event is Red White and Blue.

To that end I have been requested to source (you've guessed it) Red White and Blue cars for a central display.

Can anyone with these colours please contact me (I'd prefer here on the forum initially) if they will be available to display their cars that weekend? I imagine we can do single days if the owners are not planning to stay for both days, but the car should be displayed for the whole of the day.

The owner will still need to pay to get in I understand.

Saturday
Red
White - [FONT=arial"]Adrian Berry[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
Blue - Susan Dennis (Boxsterbabe)

Sunday
Red - Ceri Turton Guards Red 2.7
White - [FONT=arial"]Adrian Berry[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
Blue - George Knight

I am also looking for cars for the 10th Anniversary Display. Various colours for this - but I'd rather not have all black or all silver[;)]

I am looking for the following:

Saturday
2.5 - Serena and Paul Musgrove (Pastel Yellow)
2.7 - Ray Butler (Arctic Silver)
3.2S
- David Harris (Black)
2.7 Facelift (2003MY ->)
- Ivor Miskelly (Midnight Blue)
3.2 Facelift (2003MY ->) - Kish Hirani (Basalt Black)
550 Anniversary Model - Ian Gilmour (GT Silver)
2.7 987 - Stephanie Campbell (Black)
3.2S 987 - Robert Stone (Daro911) (Silver)

Sunday
2.5 - Serena and Paul Musgrove (Pastel Yellow)
2.7 - Ray Butler (Arctic Silver)
3.2S - Bob Chilton (Lapis Blue)
2.7 Facelift (2003MY ->) - Ivor Miskelly (Midnight Blue)
3.2 Facelift (2003MY ->) - Kish Hirani (Basalt Black)
550 Anniversary Model - Ian Gilmour (GT Silver)
2.7 987 - Susan Dennis (Boxsterbabe) (Blue)
3.2S 987 - Roger Saveker (Arctic Silver)

All cars should preferably be "original" - i.e. have the correct spec/lights etc. Porsche Wheels only - and preferably the correct standard wheels for the car model.

It goes without saying (but here goes anyway!) that the 10th Anniversary cars need to be well looked after and be of display standard. This IS for a 10 year display, so it would be nice to have them looking as close to how they looked when originally bought as possible. [8D]

General Notes:

All cars will need to be in place throughout the day - we are constrained from moving cars on and off the area, and in any case we are putting on a display, so it's only correct that the cars are there throughout. [:)]

My car is a Lapis Blue 987. Unfortunately, I will only be attending Eynsham on the Saturday as I'm going to Donington on the Sunday. If this is of any use for either of the displays, please let me know.

Julian,

As long as you clean it [;)]

Thanks [:)]

Edit:
I've already got a Facelift 2.7 - I might swap Ivor out for you if he is willing to do the Red White Blue thing instead?

'It'? In any event, I clean and polish my own car.

The only thing about the Swiss is to quote Orson Welles [an ad lib, incidentally] in The Third Man, "In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had 500 years of democracy and peace -- and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Of course, this is before Swissol was invented....[:D]

NOT GET BACK ON TOPIC OR HERR BENNETTON WILL GET JOLLY BATEY!

Mark,

If you're still looking for Blue cars, I can be there Saturday.
Lapis Blue with Savanna (N55BOB)
Please let me know.

This will give me a problem as I have an event near home to attend on the Saturday night. If it there is no way round, I will either have to do Sunday only or pull out of the display.

Sorry!

It's a 2.7 Lapis Blue 987.
My car is 'driven' so if somebody offers you a pristine, garaged, high days and holiday alternative, I shan't be offended. Sue

Is there any more news on whether it will be possible to move cars at the end of Saturday and come back for the start of Sunday? This will affect my decision about whether I can display my car for the whole weekend.

Thanks

I will need to leave at 6pm on the Saturday so will it be possible to leave safely as I suspect there will still be a lot of people around?

Ivor,
This is from the porschefestival website:-
"Porsche Club Festival 2006 takes place on August Bank Holiday weekend (26/27 August 2006) at Eynsham Hall, nr Oxford; gates open 0900 until 1800."
I would imagine, and don't quote me, but I would have thought that no displayed cars would be able to leave before six. I'm part of the Special Displays Team but as yet we haven't been briefed as to what hours we will be required for actually marshalling cars in and out of the display areas. The post from ZZR600 immediately before your post mentions the H&S aspect that needs to be taken into consideration. (I'm taking my paddyproof underpants to protect me from irate Porsche owners getting hot under the collar 'cos' I wont take the wheel clamp off their car so they can leave!)[;)]
Cheers,

Maybe I will display the car on Sunday only (Mark - have you got this?). It will save everybocy a lot of trouble.

It serves me right for trying to fit too much into one weekend!

ORIGINAL: ZZR600

We will think of something, it will probably mean several people missing the Saturday evening entertainment due to marshalling duties.

Lou

Lou,

Surely we don't need marshalls more than half an hour after the official close time of the event? Most members are obviously staying off-site as there is so little accomodation at Eynsham Hall itself.
Half an hour after everything finishes the place is empty. No-one should have to miss the dinner! (Hmmm... but thinking about it - many members will be arriving IN for the dinner from surrounding hotels...at what - 8PM?)

What we have here is that ALL display cars and ALL attending the dinner MUST be staying at Eynsham Hall itself - that is obviously out of the question.

I don't mean to be negative Lou - and I know it's not your fault, but there are practicalities.
