F1 testing at Silverstone June 3rd

Hi Paul,

I probably can't make it now until the afternoon - where abouts will you be hanging out? Will try and make it in the afternoon still as it is just a few miles from home for me.

Andy, I imagine we'll be moving about a bit and also probably splitting up into smaller groups. Call me on 07913 944 520 when you get there and we'll guide you in [:D]

Wednesday was soaking wet and many teams postponed their testing by a day. Yessterday wasbetter and I've trawled the team websites and found that these cars were there. Listed in time order:

Raikonnen Mclaren 1:18.133 102laps
Test guy Mclaren 1:19.210 70 laps
Button BAR
Alonso Renault
Coulthard Red Bull
Fisichella Renault
Trulli Toyota
Sato BAR 1:20.154 162 laps
Barrichello Ferrari
Klien Red Bull
Schumacher Toyota
Heidlfeld Williams
Webber Williams
Timo Jordan 1:23.261 100 laps

Saw the morning session - had to get back after lunch. You forget how quick those F1 cars are !!! Thanks for telling us about testing.

Sorry to have missed meeting up - looked around car park before parking up.

Regards

Well done Paul for bringing this great day to out attention. I had never before seen, heard or felt the speed & noise of these truely awesome machines. :p

Puts it into prospective just how far Rick still has to go. [8D]

Thanks to Paul for a great day out, arrived at the Little Chef just as you all left, lost most of you once inside the circuit! Apart from spotting Kimi's and Juan's cars, I couldnt easily identify the rest really , Ralphs yellow helmet in the Toyota was another. Just looked on the ITV website, but they havent listed drivers and times
so still dont know who these rest were!

Thanks again...any idea how many Porsches this year?

Thanks Paul for organising it. I parked in the public carpark opposite where you all parked. Met a few of you, which was nice. Dan S.

Before I knew it, most people had left the Little Chef at 10am, but I hung around until 10:30 because I knew that a few were arriving after 10 as arranged. At the car park there were 39 as counted by Tracey but shortly afterwards RobbieMeister arrived and that made us 40 [:D]

We are going to struggle to beat that next year [;)] I left at lunchtime because I had to pick my car up from Machtech and managed to just miss the rain. I'm sure the cars were louder this year - my ears rang for hours []

I wish I'd been there, but today I fitted my big disks and front struts and saw my head stripped, cleaned, rebuilt and eventually fitted to the block. "Big components" being fitted tomorrow!

Thanks Paul for organising a great day hope you do it again next year.I had around 10 cars from my region turn up and we all enjoyed it Fab day .We all arrived around 9.30 at the little chief and we left at 10.00am .Will try and get a few more cars together for next year, thanks again.
