Female Petrol Head Reviews 1989 911 3.2

Apparently North American delivered cars have bph of 207 (154 kW; 210 PS) (@ 5900 rpm) and 231 bhp (172 kW; 234 PS) (@ 5900 rpm) for most other markets not that you're splitting hairs or anything. I'm sure none of you know everything about everything because that's just not physically possible!!
Ahem, 87-89 US spec engine was remapped and had 217 not 207. Sorry for hair splitting [8|]

BTW quite enjoyed the report and waaaay more palatable than that screaming 'Rah Gel' VBH. Nice job.[:)]

(Proud owner of 217bhp US spec car remapped to 361bhp[:D])

Have you got any other fun cars?

have a 300bhp Subaru as well but it's just for track really so I'm still having ideas for a review on that - maybe at a track day or auto solo to show it in action! Might do a funny one maybe. I'll post it up when I've done it!

There may be other fun cars in the pipeline too :)

Now come on Steve, that wasn't just a remap, was it?

Spill the beans - what else was involved? [8D]

Fair point; it was a custom map written by Wayne Schofield originating from an M3 of similar vintage, copied into my DME and then individually addressed (10 hours in the Dyno cell), Bosch Green injectors, Bosch 044 fuel pump, a couple of fuel regulators....oh nearly forgot....... a flipping great turbo![:D]

Jeez, some people on here take themselves far too seriously ! I enjoyed the vid and enjoyed the review, despite the odd faux pas. Well done Becky, nice to see a lass with as much enthusiasm as us blokey types [:)]

Well said Mark - some of the comments on this thread would have made Richard Keys and Andy Gray proud! I thought the vid was an enjoyable watch and quite well made - and it certainly kicked the normally soporific 3.2 Carrera forum into life! Well done Rebecca!

Thank you very much to the last two posters!! I have made three more videos since and had my mini cooper s one featured on Mini Mania which I was really chuffed about, especially as they found it somehow without me approaching them! Just put another one up today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8nU1Myngtc of an Ibiza FR to see what diesel torque is like. I like driving lots of different machines and have a few classic cars and new things on the wish list to test.

Just seen this vid and really enjoyed it - thanks for sharing Rebecca. It's not nearly as easy to shoot a vid like this as it looks.

I think all cars should be sold this way, it would give us a real insight into the owners!
