Front splitters

Hmm, I can see this place is going to be a corrupting influence on me... Read this thread as it's developed, and today fitted the a Promax splitter to my S2, as I just couldn't resist the look, and hopefully improved aerodynamics on track. Here's my handiwork [8D]:

Is this stiff or slightly flexible? I had a pro 9 type b4 and was quite deep, so front off the car was lower. And would hit the floor at times, pretty strong never broke, but did split the paint on the bumper.

Fitment was pretty good actually, only had to 'adjust' the end holes a little to line up. The worst thing was getting the original one off, as quite a few of the screws were rusted up and needed drilling out. The splitter is made of GRP and so is pretty stiff, but fits well to the car when all the screws are tightened up. Will have to be a little careful on speed bumps now I guess, but then I dont run it every day, so shouldn't be too much of a problem. Phil

Not sure where its from, but I noticed one on one off the cars in Jmg lock up. Looked much like the pic above but was quite feel able like it was made from pu which should be a bit more forgiving upon light contact with the floor.

After buying the splitter in January, I got around to fitting it in September! I fitted the undertrays back on without any cutting needed too. Here's a couple of pics taken yesterday covered in filth from Oulton Park on Friday:

Looks mint mate ! Where did you buy it from ? Not seen that style before ? Started on the S2 engine mounts and it took a lot longer than expected on my back , so was not ready for Oulton park Fri :( I will try get there some day .

See earlier in the thread, it's a SEAT part. No probs about Friday, it was slippy but lots of fun. Took my 80 year old grandad out for a spin, he said afterwards "it's a good job I didn't have my glasses on to see exactly what was happening"!
