Gleneagles Bash 2008

You mean we Have to Actually Walk round............... Oh My God..............

Bet I Walk futher than 4 Miles...(Army Golf ) Left , Right ,Left...............[:D][:D]...

Is that not how this game is played, one ball left, one ball right and not necessarily the same ball?

Bill the girls want to give you and me a good thrashing so get out and practice. Max Mosley should have the contacts you need!

Team Millie Fox! [;)]

Oh we have taught you so well Charles. The Millie Fox rainwear is getting an outing today at Balmore. I'm desperate for a "rain check". [8|]

They've certainly spent a fortune on the new trees horticulture at Gleneagles, are the greenfees worth it Charles?

Anyway, Al and I are meeting at JJB sports to get the Donnay golf gear, a new set of clubs and 120 Dunlop Golf Balls all for a tenner. We're saving money by sharing the clubs and we reckon 120 balls should see us round the 18 holes.

What time and where tomorrow, can you PM me Charles?

Cheers

Bill

pm'd Bill

2 pm at the Dormy house on the main drive.

We can pay and head to the range for tee off at 2.40.

Weather forecast is GOOD for the afternoon!

Thanks to Charles and Shauna for organising a great days golf, very much appreciated although, I need some serious practice for next years event.

Can you post some of the pics from the day please?

Alison,Kim, remember we need to see the pic of Scott for the caption contest!

Thanks again.

Bill

Big Thanks to Charles and Shauna for Yesterday at Gleneagles, was an Ace Day

and they even managed to keep it Dry for us.

Great company, Great food and great golf[:D][:D] from us all Sometimes[:D]

Cheers Big Al

Thanks Charles and Shauna for a fab day!

Spa at Gleneagles was superb and I enjoyed my massage. Although after a round with Alan and Bill, I was in desperate need of another massage......my ego! The boys spent the day taking the Mickey out of Team "millie fox", and we're now known as team "Muddy Fox". I'm also expecting sponsorship from "Buckets & Spades R Us" owing to the amount of time I spent in the sand!

Having said that, at least I managed to drive the Ladies Tee. Mr Laing (Big Al - although not so Big anymore), steps up to the 13th (I think), addresses the ball, and sclafs it into the gorse at the side of the Ladies Tee. After a royal slagging, re-loads, head down, swings back......and does exactly the same again! But the traditional forfeit granted when a Gent fails to drive the Ladies Tee was forgone due to the weather - Lucky for Shauna and I.

As for Bill, well we're having a change of name by Deed Poll to Wayne Bobbit.

Shauna played beautifully, and I only had a gentle debate with the plank behind us on the 16th after he failed to call a wild drive which landed on the Ladies Tee Box as Shauna was addressing the ball, and then talked persistently as I was tee-ing off and caused me to drive my shot right into the sand - Again!

Have no idea how the Charles' 3 ball went - looked far too serious!! [;)]

Pics from Blackberry so not great quality. Shauna has teh Team photo to follow:

Charles,
Let me be the last to thank you for a grand day out. Maybe next time I will try to (a) keep the ball on the fairway and (b) check that I'm playing with the right ball! My colleague Brian had a great time, not to mention a fairly sound score, but then he is a pretty serious golfer.

The meal was excellent too. Maybe next time I will pay for it (joking of course)!!

And here's a relevant wee joke - with apologies to any blondes looking on...[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=verdana, geneva"]A man entered the bus with both of his front pockets full of golf
balls and sat down next to a beautiful (you guessed it) blonde. The
puzzled blonde kept looking at him and his bulging pockets.

Finally, after many such glances from her, he said, 'It's golf balls'.
Nevertheless, the blonde continued to look at him for a very long
time, deeply thinking about what he had said.

After several minutes, not being able to contain her curiosity any
longer, she asked;

'Does it hurt as much as tennis elbow?'

We should do it again in the spring.

Unfortunately, Shauna lost her diamond necklace at the spa so not a cheap outing!

If you'll pardon the pun that takes the shine of a good day

Fingers crossed I hope it turns up
