Register your interest with Oulton Park using the link above (there's a drop down menu to see you're with PCGB) and then send an e-mail to Phil Graham using : r5porsche.pg at gmail dot com to let him know what you're taking.

Here are the main points about the event (from the R5 committee e-mail):

The forthcoming Gold Cup at Oulton Park, Sunday 25 - Monday 26 August 2013 is set to become a very important event in the history of Region 5 and indeed Porsche Club Great Britain.

This weekend is the 60th anniversary of Oulton Park and PCGB R5 has been invited to combine the celebrations with Fifty Years of the 911.

The central attraction for the event will be a huge show of 911's with a special display of the evolution of the models. On Sunday the 'Evolution' will lead a parade lap of the circuit followed by the remaining 911's with the 65 years of other Porsche production models bringing up the rear. There will also be some special Porsche cars within our display.

All regions will be welcome to come along, with any Porsche model, by prior ticket application and car, driver and 1 passenger will have free admission for the entire weekend - children free.

The link for ticket application is:-

sorry chaps, there is a slight problem with booking at the moment and the email should not have gone out in the format it did.

As it says in the email if you are going in with a Porsche we have organised free entrance for the driver and one passenger, but currently the Oulton Park website doesn't reflect this and you would have to pay.

We are waiting for a promotional code from Oulton Park which will be displayed on here.
http://www.carmatrix.co.uk/pcgbnw/2013-gold-cup.php and in a new email that will be sent out.

No problems registering interest in displaying but don't yet book your tickets without the promotional code or you'd have to pay.

Thanks Stuart. Just to be clear, I've only registered interest on the Oulton website because as you say it's a bit ambiguous about buying entry tickets at the moment.

Thanks Steve and Stuart - I'll register interest, notify PG and do nowt else at the moment.

I'm not receiveing the R5 committee email, so I'll advise PG when I email him.

Steve - see you Sunday, Stuart, if you're at Gawsworth I'll see you Monday.

Best,

Fraser.

Hi chaps, now sorted.

Having spoken to Oulton Park this morning about the booking issues and the confusions being caused, the page for simply registering an interest has been removed.

You can now go straight to booking your free tickets.

Go to this page and the promo code is at the bottom with the link to the correct booking page.
http://www.carmatrix.co.uk/pcgbnw/2013-gold-cup.php

As the tickets are being distributed direct from Oulton Park(MSV) it looks like there is a nominal charge for postage of the tickets which appears to be £1.80

no worries Steve,
I knew I'd have to act fast when I saw that that email had gone out incorrectly.

With it being the 911 anniversary I'm thinking it might be good to organise register parking, 911, 964, 993, 996 etc(they all look the same to me[;)]) so that when the parade laps are happening they can go out in chronological order.
I'll probably be organising the 968s together.
Then with all the other registers following.
Just a thought.

Preparations are well under way for for this special anniversary Gold Cup meeting, to be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend - 60 years of Oulton Park and 50 years of the Porsche 911. It is also 65 years of Porsche production.
We need 911's for an 'Evolution' display, and 356's to mark the early production, plus any other model with a Porsche badge on it to ensure a memorable weekend. Free tickets are available for both the Sunday and the Bank Holiday Monday for any Porsche car, plus driver and one passenger - go to www.carmatrix.co.uk/goldcup/ Parade laps are available on the Sunday at a cost of &10 per car, and a regional concours is planned for the Monday.
Once booked, please contact Phil Graham to confirm your car details to assist with organisation of the displays.

Stuart,

We booked last month for the Sunday and emailed Phil Graham with our details, to assist with organisation of parking and been helper's on the day.

I assume the Parade laps are available on the Sunday and are open to any model of Porsche.

Just looked on the Oulton Park booking site as discussed last night, but couldn't see any way of paying the £10 fee or reserving a Parade laps ticket, what am I doing wrong ?

Chris & Sue.
