GT4 RS - any information from OPCs?

Only thing for sure is that it will cost a lot and most of us won’t stand a chance !

You’ll be lucky Stefan! Rumour has it that it’ll be announced soon - next month maybe? - but like any RS most likely it will be “by invitation only”. I’m afraid that you’ll be at the very end of a very long queue if you want to take a punt, and being an RS I would imagine that build numbers will be quite small.

Very, very limited car. 1 maybe 2 per OPC.

If you don't already know you're getting one, you're not getting one IMHO.

Hmm... that's a bit unfortunate. Didn't realise RS cars were that limited. Perhaps it's better I stick to my original plan of getting a Spyder.

RSs are usually pretty limited this will be even more so according to rumours.

Spyders aren't exactly easy to get hold of either!

I had a few OPCs who at least entertained the idea of me ordering a Spyder. But the second hand market also has a lot to offer here, particularly with the 981. Maybe once (and if) the market cools down I'll go down that route.. :)

Hi all,

I'm a bit late, but just found out the GT4 RS will be released. Naturally, my first impulse was to get in touch with my OPC (two minutes after finding out about the release) only to be told the standard "due to high demand we are not able to proceed with any orders at this stage".

Has anyone here had the opportunity to be on the list of getting one? If so - any idea on what it will cost, roughly, and if mere mortals can get their hands on one?

Very curious about this car. Curious to see what the exact specs will be and how it will live up to the GT4 or even the new GT3 for that matter. Being in London, I expect to see at least one of them at the Ace Cafe or Out East in the near future!

I think we pretty much know everything about it already:

[ul][*]PDK-only[*]Centrelock wheels[*]475bhp-ish from the current 4.0 engine with GT3 internals/tweaks[*]Usual RS tweaks in styling, aero, weight loss[*]Low production numbers, possibly around 2000 worldwide[/ul]

As quick as the 991.2 GT3 but not as quick as the 992 GT3 or the 991.2 GT3RS.

Exactly where Porsche wants it to be...

That's still very impressive! Not sure about the look of the car (yet). Black doesn't do it justice imo.

Standard mule spec of a black wrap. The car underneath is yellow. Launch colour may also be yellow or Porsche may have a surprise up their sleeve, although they use yellow for the Clubsport marketing.

I think it'll be Racing Yellow for the launch.

Plenty out there [;)]

week 46/47 was the launch date that's been know for months. I think along with a 992 T.

7.04 Ring time with R spec put it's where it needs to be as the 7.12 GT3 time was on normal tyres, R spec is worth 12 seconds at the ring so 7.00 dead for a 991.2 GT3. Keeps every thing in line car and badge wise. RS will be launched March 2022 with a 6.39 ring time, it's already done a 6.41 but they are still finding time and tweaking it to do a sub 6.40. BHP of the GT4 RS, who knows ?, they will give it just enough to place it where it needs to be, but on looks it must have circa 470BHP as it's so bloody fast and a shock it has this 9k reving engine.

On the plus side SHORTER GEARING gets the car out the bends fast,

on the BAD side none of us are getting one :-( and overs will be easy £50k. Expect the RS SPyder soon after. And a Sports ed 992.
