It'll be nice if Porsche just got on this and offered as an option I saw a post the other day on Facebook, guy bought a new Cayman and less than 2 months later he's faced with a $2,500 bill to replace the condenser its an obvious design flaw which is very easily and cheaply resolved.

I‘be just ordered a GTS4.0 through OPC Silverstone, for a September ‘22 delivery!
im interested in your GAP insurance - where/who did you use and how much? From OPC they’ve quoted £1200 for 3 years of cover.
which lights did you go for?
did you choose any coloured dials?
stereo upgrade?
dualzone climate?
GTS interior pack?
other options?
im already counting down the days to delivery - I probably could get an earlier date, but I want a 72 plate registration to coincide with my 50th in September
I’ll be selling my 987.2S in May next year.

Thanks for the pointer Dan - great intelScrounger said:Don’t buy GAP from a dealer unless they throw it in for free which they won’t.
I bought my GAP from ALA. If you use the discount code MSE25 you get 25% off (I don’t work for the btw but they have a great rep).

I’ll definitely check out ALA closer to (next years!) delivery date and avoid the OPC GAP product.

Hi Jason, I went with Shark Blue, dual climate, left the lights as they are, folding mirrors, extended leather (not keen on the alcantera) plus quite a few other bits, just counting down now and avoiding Covid if that's possible.

yes I am severely missing a porsche ! Though continued vaccinating is keeping me from getting too bored! I’m able to go and have an occasional look at it in the showroom but not registering it till March 1 .linda and I are on holI day for 6 weeks of it including all February in St Lucia so it could be worse! I’m still torn between getting a new 992 if our OPC gets a slot but most likely will take the shark blue GTS 4.0 for a year while I wait for a new build 992
is your GT4 going well?
Having driven a 992 carrera s recently at Silverstone and a friends they are brilliant cars but the GT4 and I am sure GTS is a much more rewarding driving experience. I am tempted to a 992 gts with the lightweight package. However , value for money the GT4 and GTS 4.0 is unbeatable
Stick with the GTS 4.0 and avoid the risk of agoraphobia Dylan!Dylan1 said:I’m still torn between getting a new 992 if our OPC gets a slot but most likely will take the shark blue GTS 4.0 for a year while I wait for a new build 992

Sticking with the 2 way Sports Plus seats as have them now and most comfortable seats ever driven in. Did 550 miles around Yorkshire Moors & Dales last weekend and not a hint of discomfort at any point.
£3k deposit is standard for Cayman & Boxter at any OPC now. Fully refundable up until point of build slot and confirmation of specification/options. Lead in circa 12 months for delivery confirmed by three OPC's.
Spoke to Sytner, Dick Lovett and Stratstone OPC's. All state the same deposit, lead in etc. As you might expect, no discount or any other incentives from any of them. Simply pick the one closest to you or whichever sales personality you prefer! Think I'm going to go with Dick Lovett. Just need to build up the bottle to place order!
When I was visiting another OPC recently, they confirmed that they have allocation for about 2 - 3 a quarter in 2022. This was one of the larger / newer OPC and so others may be different.
