Guards red 944 Turbo.......is this where prices are now?

Yes guys sorry for deleting my post, I've been trying to keep to myself and keep the ins and outs of my business from public scrutiny. There is so much said that I would have an opinion on, but it's probably best that I no longer post. I do read though.. and will continue to read. Thanks for your understanding.

That's a shame Mark, it is good to get your input and thoughts on 944's especially as you are viewing them from a different prospective to most of the people on here. Unfortunately some don't think you should be allowed to make a profit and a living, yet it seems to be ok for 'Specialist' garages and dealers like Specialist Cars, Hexagon, Paul Stephens, JMG etc. to do it to an even greater level!!

Don't see a problem. You haven't tried to take the pee and spam the forum with your adverts, but have given an insight from a trade point of view we don't get from anyone else. You've already answered the criticisms levelled at the business, so feel free to post if you want to. I've learned from your comments, and that's all we want from a forum.

ORIGINAL: simkin911 I agree that a £15k turbo is entirely reasonable for a great example. However, at that price point, I'd expect; No rust, great paint & interior sill and underside photos A history of clutch change Fresh suspension Original or upgrades OE rims Mild modification to maximise modern day potential (chips, dpw etc) Brakes refreshed (I mean calipers free of plate lift rather than new pads) Low ish miles Great SH Engine mounts done Fresh belts & water pump Brake & fuel lines either replaced or inspected Rear main bushes done Great sports interior
Happily, that sounds just like my 80-000 miler :) Shame she's not for sale! Russ

This is what I sold new hood, plate lift rectified, no diff whine Cup 1 wheels (repos) 47,000 miles, no squeaks or rattles belts had a year left clcok worked orriginal casseette player working, brake fluid oil and coolnt changed at proper intervals. new fan switch. bean size blister rear n/s wheel arch slight crusty fron nearside. all vacuum heater controls working, stainless steel exhaust. Air con fitted needs the pipe conversion for new gas driver's seat a bit scuffed on the RH bolster. Grey upholstery, half leather. new battery std boost chip So taking into consideration what needed to be done to make it perfect I though 14,250 was about right for this particular Turbo cab. It has a slow drivers window on the up but it was not the switch
