Look What Santa Brought Me...

But if a new one costs more does that make any difference Gary?
Call me old-fashioned but putting the price up for new customers is one thing but putting it up for those with an order in, deposit paid and build date allocated is sharp practice despite what it says in the small print. Still, I will reserve judgement until everyone is back at work next week and certain phone calls have be made. I expect Porsche GB to do the right and ethical thing by it's customers............yeah, right. Now, where was that R8 V10 brochure................[;)]

You would think so, but sadly never really in my experience of dealing with sales have they ever not been slightly one sided on the deal...[&:] [;)]

Update on the price rises. My OPC confirms, via Head Office, that "early delivery cars" (not defined but includes mine) will be price protected. ( The VAT rise is not included in the protection, sadly!) There, you see, I knew all along they would do the right thing.........[;)]

I guess they can claim there is nothing they can do with the VAT, unless on a pro-forma Invoice.
But glad to hear they will honour the cost....

Yes Gary, I think the VAT increase has been done to death elsewhere but seems the over-riding factor is the delivery of the goods and not just writing out an invoice.. When the Government reduced the VAT they also introduced legislation to prevent pre-payment for goods which would be delivered after the VAT goes back up. I'm sure if there was a cast iron way to avoid paying the extra for cars that were ordered in 2009 but delivered in 2010 we would all know about it!
