Macan OPC launch party dates

Paul

I have yet to receive my formal invitation to Nottingham's launch party (I have a holding deposit with them and a build slot) and my date of 7th April was based on a chat with one of the salesmen. It seems that they subsequently settled on the 4th.

I have amended my post to the 4th in line with your letter and comments.

Thanks for the confirmation.
David

Well we have dates for 23 centres but I believe that there are quite a few more.

Anyone know any of the missing event dates?

I was invited to four functions having expressed interest a year ago in buying a Macan.
I am going to the Nottingham event with which OPC I have placed a deposit.

Can't see where you are, if in London try Nick Pike (R20 RO) as he may have some "magic" tickets.

Geneva 2 weeks ago , disappointing, too low. Too Audi look alike.
I will stick with the Cayenne and wait to see how the new Freelander
Replacement looks , performs

Derek,
I am going to the Swindon launch

Jon, and anyone else going to the Swindon launch, let me know and touch base with me on the night. We will try and get a group photo for PP. So far we have Jon, me & Su and Alan Armstrong. 11 April.

Having had 2 Q3s, there is not much wrong with Audi. It's just that Macan is so much better and, according to my son who has driven it quite a bit, it handles incredibly well. Maybe the pre launch stuff from Porsche is right. It was giving Cayman's a good run for their money on track [:D] However, personally that is not why I am buying it. I want a great all weather car that has ground clearance, not too big (rules out Cayenne) economy and roadholding with loads of panache.

That was one of the things that put me off i would not say it has ground clearance.
Hopefully when you all go to the OPC launches it will be close to a Kn as it was at the show
And the low height is very very noticeable.
I was hoping for a small Kn but it aint ?.

Well we are told that it is built on a Q5 chassis and that has ground clearance. Of course it you spec air suspension you get a much greater ride height. Certainly enough for me, but there again I'm not aiming to go off road; I just need decent ride height to wade small floods.

it will be interesting to see up close as you say derek,as at last i am close to getting linda out of her BMW into a proper car[:D]
the cayenne was way too big for her but the macan looks just right...in the photos
like you we want something to get through the floods not off road necessarily.
the skoda yetis that we use on the fleet with emergency docs herts always seem to get through most conditions and the macan certainly doesnt look any lower than those.-linda understandably wants a bit mor "style" than a yeti though [:)]

I own a q5 and had invite to harrods for a preview of the macan
imo the height from floor to boot space is same for q5 and macan more slopping roof on macan
Autocar video preview very interesting comparing macan with range rover evoque
