Sorry, I missed this post first time round Clive, let me know [:)] be great to catch up..

I've slightly altered the route to put the "scary" parts prior to anyone having eaten!! at the request of my wife!!
I won't alter the times that much except for a slightly later lunch stop.

Hi Gary,

That looks to be goer - if you don't mind a "pseudo Porsche" interloper tagging along. [;)]

We'll come up on Saturday and do an overnighter somewhere close by.

Looking forward to meeting up with everyone again. [:)]

Regards,

Clive

Depends on what you have in mind! []

I 've just sussed out the Park House Hotel at Shifnel. Know anything about that hostel?

Clive

The weather forecasts so far have this Sunday down as a dry and sunny day :p
Good news as the attendance for this one looks like its going to be excellent, I know the BMWs have 22 cars attending as one group!!

I'm quite looking forward to a dry day and an enjoyable gathering and drive out..[8D]
Anyone else who is going to the meet as a separate thing, do pop over and say hello..

I have the list of people joining us for lunch and the drive out afterwards, do please check I have you registered as either +1 or not...[;)]
Route maps will as usual be handed out on the day prior to leaving the Museum.
Their are plenty of facilities at the museum, if you have never attended before then follow the signs for the Cold War exhibition and 'event' signs.

We have been requested to be in place from 8.30am!! but if you cannot make that time please don't stress as there is plenty of other parking available.

Only funds needed for this is the breakfast, lunch and finally scones and tea at the end.... home made scones and jam!!! mmmmm
There is a fuel station opposite the entrance to the museum (on the traffic lights) neaest Shell is Junction 4 services or Stirchley

Gary

Having just moved house and been working very hard, I need a day out in the beast to ease the tension!

Have managed to get a pass for the day, so if not too late could I come along?

If ok, then could you book me in for 2 for breakfast, lunch & scones.

Also if anyone travelling up M40 from Banbury junction, then perhaps we could follow to Cosford?

I know what you mean by a day of to enjoy the motor..

I've added you to the list for the lunch and drive + scones [:)]

Exit to Cosford is Junction 3 of the M54 and after 1/2 mile then take a right at the traffic lights.
There are brown toursit signs on th motorway

Hi Gary spending too much time in the company focus this week so really looking forward to stretching the turbo linkages this sunday on the drive, can't promise 08.30 but know how busy it can get for late comers.

Paul

An update on the times for arrival..

"Anyone wishing to park in the main display area must be on site by 09:00 at the latest. You may arrive from 08:30 on the Sunday morning. Anyone arriving after 09:15 will be directed to overflow/general parking.
Please note that we will be using the grassed area at the lower end and Car Park 1 for future meets as this gives us more parking space without being parked too close and eliminates the movement of cars whilst members of the public are walking outside the Cold War Museum."

At least that means I can have an additional 20 minutes in bed [:)]

garyw

Hey Gary

I assume the overflow/general parking is free to get into for those of us just wanting to do the drive starting at 11am?

If not then will be meeting you probably at the nearest Shell garage [;)]

Not any more it isn't - it's now supposed to rain all weekend [&:]

Let's hope the forecast changes again...

[&:] looks like the usual weekend weather may be back with us...

Alex, there is indeed plenty of parking at the museum for all.

If your trusted stead likes the taste of Shell but you dont like paying the 'on the motorway premium', then there are a couple of others in Telford only minutes away from the M54, J4 station

Shell Stirchley Services
Holmer Farm Road
Telford
TF3 1QU

Shell Sutton Maddock
Sutton Maddock
Shifnal
TF11 9ND

Depending on Garys route when we leave Cosford we may even drive past them
