my lovely s2 for sale

jasonp

New member
hiya,,just thought I would mention in our section that my lovely s2 has to go......
i have seen a great 964 i have the chance of buying and it feels the right time to pass on my s2,,,
i have started a thread in the "members for sale" but it seems to get lost in there,,,,BIG discount if it goes to a forum member,,,please no complicated mechanical questions as most will know I haven't a clue and would take my s2 to the local specialist for most things that people who do there own spannering could fix in a second,,
cheers Jason p

NO! Tell me it's not true! Jason! [X(]

You'll regret it. I guarantee it. Your choice and whatnot, and I hope that 964 is as lovely as you think it'll be, but your S2 is a cracker and will walk all over it in the driving stakes. Seriously ....

Having said that, your S2 IS a cracker and whoever gets it will get a bargain - particularly with the money you spent on it recently. I hope it goes for a decent price - what are you asking for it? (Hint - it should start with a '5'.)

Let me know if you are ever in this neck of the woods again and we'll make some beers go away.

blimey I just finished e mailing you oli lol
yeah mate,,,time to let her go but this 964 appears quite special with all the right jobs done,,last owner for 10 years and currently in pieces as she is having a all windows out job and back to the metal where needed,,,if my car hadn't done as much mileage then the sale would start with an 8 but as it stands,,i will let her go for just over 5k with a big discount if it goes to a forum member,,i know,
I will regret it but its time for a change and sometimes it seems a car picks you instead of you picking the car,,same with the 964 as when I bought my s2,
hoping to meet up soon for a lager,,cheers jasonp

Fair enough, although I suspect you will keep a big soft spot in your heart for your old 944! Don't sell her too cheap, and let us know how it goes with the beetle. [;)]

I've replied to your eMail separately.

thanks hallsy for posting those and oli as always for your help and support,,,,my next job on my s2 was to have my seats thoroughly cleaned,,,which would make them look much better,,cheer jasonp

Jason,

You're right. Spot on, actually. It'll never sell with seats as grubby as that.

You'd better just hold on to it, eh? Much simpler and a lot less hassle all 'round.

Its a lovely car Jason and Oli is quite right (he is occasionally [;)]) you will miss it and whoever is lucky enough to buy it will have a gem on their hands.

... Oli is quite right ...

Oscar Wilde said he could live for two weeks off a compliment, so that'll keep me going until some time in July - thanks Jon! [:)]

Well that's fulfilled my "Spread a little sunshine" quota for the day - happy to oblige ! [:D]

Enough of this banter, fun as it is ... who's going to buy Jason's S2? Come on guys, roll up, roll up, get yer bids in!

In fact, you know, I might buy it off him. Not because it's a good one (although it is), not because it's immeasurably better than a turbo (although it is), more because it could be a fantastic investment. Give Jason £5k for it, park it on my drive, wait until he realises how much he misses it and flog it back to him for £7k next week! Of course I'd clean the seats for him to justify the profit .... [:D]

Come on Jason, you don't really want to sell it do you?

thanks john,,i know I will regret it but its time to move her on,,,, really hoping that whoever takes her will really look after her and not skip services etc
main reason its only up for sale on our forum,,,i have never felt as emotional about any other possessions like I am about my girl,,very strange,,felt so guilty when she fired up instantly after a week with no use lol
thanks for the input everyone,,cheers jasonp

thanks Andrew,,i know you like them lol,,,,,
please no more pms from anyone with silly offers because my front seats need a clean,,,
seriously ,,the above banter was in a "joking" manner and I really was not serious about knocking "£2k off because the front seats need a clean",,cheers jasonp
