New Boxster S, New Cayman S or Used 911?

ORIGINAL: Ian Gilmour

We bought our Boxster 550 Spyder Anniversary from Reading (they were the only dealer that could supply that model at the time) in June 2004 and were thoroughly underwhelmed by the whole experience. As far as 'goodies' were concerned we got a bottle of champagne (which we don't like) and which we practically had to ask for.

After adding a disgruntled post to this forum shortly afterwards we were contacted by the Sales Manager (yes some OPC staff do read the forum apparently) who listened to our impression of the collection experience and sent my wife some flowers, which were very nice but we would have appreciated a more customer friendly collection process in the first place.

Needless to say we won't be buying another car from Reading and that's not just because it's 200 miles away from us.

Porsche Centre Solihull gave us a bottle of Veuve Clicquot - amongst the best of the Non Vintage champagnes. In future, if you get any champagne that you don't like, I will swop it with you for a pen or an umbrella. OK?

Crikey, 200 miles, how did you do it? Taxi or train?

Car sounds worth it though, how is it?
