The black turbo is mine now, it was bennyboys. it has been restored to normal car less cage etc, I have fitted ruf speedline wheels and a black sports leather interior. Hoping to get it up to about 350bhp, possibly a 2.8.

Springs need to settle in yet I hope !

Something is not right here! What make Springs are they and where from?

If they are supposed to be 30mm less than stock, they are never going to drop 60mm from settling...

Those wheels are off a 4x4 Cayenne, very Heavy and will be slowing you down, also what size are the tyres?

I can't remember what they said on the box, I'll double check! Lol. Could they be for a different model you think?

As for the wheels, they likely won't be staying, I'll get the bodywork, service and mot out of the way before I splash out on wheels, although I do have the lend of some others but I just need tires

I think the Spring diameter changed on the S2 & Turbo (Smaller ID) but if they were wrong they wouldn't fit in the spring pan?
Did you retain the original shock absorbers or were the fronts complete units (Shock & Spring)?

Yes the Cup 2 wheels will be better....

Finally home after a long stint!
Firstly, thank you for the side repeaters they will clean up a treat! Appreciate it!

I have received nearly everything to put it back together, Justin has helped me out with that, so thanks for that Justin.... plus I managed to source a wing locally. The springs settled down quite a bit and everything bolted up leaving little to be fettled with to make the lines all run smooth, they're not quite right in the photos but the badge panel isn't bolted on yet... next up, paint!

EDIT - PHOTOS WONT UPLOAD, NOT SURE WHY!?

Anyone know how to upload any more photos than 1 at a time?

As mentioned above, you're better off uploading to Photobucket and posting the links as th forum software isn't setup for hosting loads of pictures.

Youd better be quick though before Roger hijacks your thread to tell you how his car is over 250kgs lighter than helium and has a power to weight ratio better than a Koenigsegg one:eek:ne to the power of infinity. Unfortunately though it's not quite powerful enough to create oversteer no matter how skinny his tyres are ;)

Oh yes, and a wee bit of contact cleaner and a wiggle on the socket behind the headlight got it sorted! #Jammy

The abs light went off when I replaced a fuse in number 26 ! #superjammy

I sent the car up for mot shortly thereafter, and it passed with no advisories!

To celebrate, I gave it the oil and filter it badly needed.

There's a few slight imperfections in the paint and still quite alot to do in order to make it perfect, but now it's in a driveable condition.

Once I get my current car sold, I'll move on the bits I want to get right. Plans are, in no particular order:-

Find the top section of cam belt cover as mine is missing
Lower the rear
New stone chip decals on sides
New long Porsche decal on rear
Upgrade the speakers
Completely clean (should I Waxoil?) Underneath and under bonnet
Take the wheels off and paint all the components behind
And further down the line, buy new wheels, steering is ropey with those wheels I find.

These wheels are off a 4x4 Cayenne ! hence they are heavy maybe this is not helping, what's "Ropey" about the
steering? is it stiff or groaning etc..

It looks like the tyre sizes are all the same 225/45/17?

Yeah my mate who painted it put the wrong one back on it after it was painted. That's the reg that came with the bumper I got from Justin, he didn't even look at the reg, just fired that one back on again lol.

If you look at it on the lift just after mot and during mot you will see the original reg on it from when the car was collected on page one Inspector Ruddy [;)]

Yes, I know the wheels are off a cayenne, maybe I'm just used to newer cars but it seems to like to tram line a bit... the wheels don't go straight with ease over slightly indifferent surfaces. There's no play in the steering or anything, reminds me of my old mk2 golf that had 8" wide wheels. There is the odd squeak out of the belt when maneuvering, but it had sat for nearly 2 years. Does the PS fluid require a change too you think?
