ORIGINAL: 924nutter You get my vote.
Because the NA is the original face of the marque and looks better They're pretty much the same anyway unless you prefer the later interior or vvt engine/6 speed box. With the same mods it just comes down to looks and for me would be an NA or mk2.5. Although a nice mk2 RS would get my attention. We nearly bought an NC, slightly different car, but the original DNA is still there.ORIGINAL: 944 man I dont understand why people favour NAs over NBs. The NB is greatly superior. On PH and similar forums people fawn over the 'pop-up lights', but surely we are over them by now? I have kept a little stash of nice NB parts for when I buy another...

I notice you mention a year of oval adsh and sporty geo. . . . . what year and how do i tell. . . . . . ., DaveORIGINAL: A9XXC Dash shape - square dash = early sporty style geo and can have cookies all 2.5 8V oval dash = later GT style geo but cookies wont fit '85 -87 2.5 8V '87 -88 2.5 16V '89 2.7 8V '89 on 3.0 16V (S2) '87 on Turbo Rider to above there was 1 year of oval dash AND sporty geo! Early wheels wont fit later cars and later wheels would need big spacers. I really enjoyed my early cars handling, more fun than the later ones, but I would still buy on condition and recent history.

1985.5 cars, as they are known. Porsche model years run September to July, with the factory closed in August. There are c-reg series one and two cars, with the late c-reg and early d-reg being the new interior, but pre-ABS and other changes.I notice you mention a year of oval adsh and sporty geo. . . . . what year and how do i tell

3/4 tank of fuel, TR lane half cage, air con that worked, my NB RS weighed in at 1020KG on the scales(corner weight time)....not that bad specially with the 6 speed box and extra bracing. Friends JDM integra came in at 1040kg with a 1/4 tank of juice...no wonder they are so quick. NB is better looking than the NA hands down, mine was in baby poo brown colour (pimp gold..;-) ) but still looked great.ORIGINAL: Hallsy The NB might be more rigid, but is certainly heavier than the early NA's. In the right colour the NB looks OK, but the mk2.5 looks far better IMO. I'm just a sucker for pop ups!! I've never driven a standard NA, but my one was plenty rigid enough with some basic mods - OE strut brace, chassis braces, 4 point roll bar & harness bar. At the end of the day, the differences between them are subtle enough. If I was buying again it would be a mk2.5 or NC, purely from a vfm point of view. Anyway, this is going a bit off topic now!! Mx5's are great, 944's are great - but they're not the same, lol!
