Welcome Mark, Congratulations on your new car. May I wish you many thousands' of miles of trouble-free motoring. [] Post up the spec. when you have a moment, I'm sure everyone would be interested to see it. Why are you in a field? Did you over-cook it first time out, I wonder? [8|] [][] Regards, Clive. PS. That's a popular colour in 997 Register! []
Greetings all, Just thought I'd say hello! Last week I collected an 11 plate 997 C2S PDK in black/black. It's my first Porsche & I'm absolutely delighted with it! TBH I can't quite believe my luck in owning such a fantastic car. Looking forward to chatting with other like-minded enthusiasts! Kind Regards Julian
Hi Julian and welcome to these parts. Nice car (and nice wheels!) I see you're from the best county too. Will have to get you signed up to the club!! Depending on which part of N Devon you are in you may like to pop along to meet some of the regional folk and see if it floats your boat? 2nd Sunday of the month, lunchtime at the Gissons Inn just south of Exeter by the A38. The 997 register also has a "reputation" for laying on some tasty events, both culinary and driving[] If you're anywhere near Barnstaple the chap who posted before you (Lancerlot) in is your neck of the woods. Paddles or buttons, btw?[]
Alan, I think we know Julian already since he's of GT40 Kitcar fame at Braunton Wheels in the summer. Was also pretty useful in a Lotus Elise in local sprint events a while back. Congratulations on finally getting a proper car, Julian. Black eh? You're going to need plenty of polish, mate! [8|][] Looking forward to seeing the new motor. [] Regards, Clive.
Black is the best colour for a C2 or C2S - and balck is the best colour to have on a dirty car........[:-]ORIGINAL: Lancerlot Black eh? You're going to need plenty of polish, mate! [8|][] Looking forward to seeing the new motor. [] Regards, Clive.

Welcome to the best part of the club 997 that is. Looking forward to seeing you on a few drives Paul/Tanya[]
Hi Okellyt, thanks for your interest! Spec is; C2S Sport steering wheel with paddles Switchable sports exhaust Sport Chrono plus Bose/universal audio interface Park assist Turbo 2 wheels with spacers heated seats I looked at quite a few until I found one with the 'right' spec for me & waited around for the right deal. I've found the most useful feature on the car to date seems to be the audible speed warning! I'm staggered by the ease at which the car reaches quite high speeds!!! The 'beep' reminds me when I'm approaching license loosing speeds...! Kind regards Julian
Thats Clive's butlers house at the end of his garden........[]ORIGINAL: Julian J. Thanks Clive, Will do! Regards Julian BTW, I've forgotten which house is yours, is it this one?
