Newbiew looking for a 944 Turbo

I thought M030 was optional on later cars. I read somewhere that they had all of the later drivetrain stuff but with regular shocks. And I agree, they'll be toast at this age and I'd want to replace with V3's ideally anyway.

Thanks for the heads up on that red one. I have been looking at it, but dismissed it since the owner hasn't serviced it once in 6 years. That's got ticking time bomb all over it.

It seems a lot of these cars are just garaged for sunny days and people think it was serviced 1,000 miles ago so it'll be ok, even though that was 3 years ago. It seems a regular thing that people buy the car, spend money on it straight away, run for years until it needs more money thrown at it then sell it on.

Appears the same for that gold one on Pistonheads. Belt done 3,500 miles ago - 8 years! Plus marks on both bumpers, wheels looks trashed and the rear spoiler looks like it's lifted I think. Far from the immaculate described.

I'm after something cherished and don't mind paying the premium for it. Wouldn't have thought it'd be this hard to find!

4 star classics had a 24,000 miler up at £20k on ebay - sold unfortunately.

No diff or forged rims though which the Zermatt car in Linc's does have.

One will come along I'm sure

I've actually had my eye on this one for a while now. It seems too good to be true. Awesome colour combo, great interior and cheap - from a trader though which raises eyebrows - why so cheap?

The photos are awful and you can't tell much from them except perhaps it might have had a respray as there's no rear decal. The only way is to view it but you could try asking the dealer to send you some detailed photo's. It's been for sale for a while so if he wants to shift it he should be helpful. Is it far from you?

Just don't go near the red one on eBay in Gateshead that ends tomorrow evening.

I'd be most upset if the winner of the auction actually bought the car, no service history for the last 6 years and the sills are one hard winter away from being colanders.

£5600 [:D]

I saw! Ouch, someone is in for a surprise if it's as bad as suspected.

I thought the same, too good to be true, but it's got to be worth a look if not too far from you.

Was tempted to have a look myself to see how a 250 Turbo compares to my S2. I've always been an NA fan but i'm curious nonetheless!

Any joy MrP?

I have seen that black Turbo for sale for a while, the price has dropped to £5k now. Has anyone viewed it? I thought about it when I was looking (and at a higher price), but got put off due to it hanging around.

I've sent you a PM as have decided to sell my turbo. I've spent a lot (!) on her over recent years, but am now concentrating on other cars in my collection (it's surprising how much keeping three Maseratis to national concours winning condition can cost!!!!)

I suggest two Mazzer's in that case Ewan....[8|]

get the 968T as suggested and use the 944t as development hack.......[:)]

bit of man maths for you.

a hankering for a 928

why?

Kg?
bhp?
mpg?
bhp / Tonne?
bhp / litre?
engine responsiveness?
chassis dynamics?
reliability[:D]
maintenance costs [:D]
saleability[:D]

the only Porsche that never received a turbocharger...

No RS, No Carrera models

just to encourage some poor owner who hopes to one day not own one. There's a good reason

Nice looking car though.

Just because they look nice, have a V8 and are comfy. But I'm under no illusion that it'll probably be disastrous decision, and quite possibly never happen anyway!
