Nick USA for new Regional Organiser?

Extract from Board Talk

4. London Region regarding the RO position. I had a chat with some of the R20 members after the EGM and Kish Hirani and Paul Seagrave have agreed to set up a meeting with members from the region to discuss the options.

Not me been there worn the T-Shirt ... apparently three volunteers were not enough, more were needed according PP, but who are the three?

From what I recall in the past - three people running the region was deemed two too many!

They all follow the threads. There is a meeting going to be arranged with London RO, one director and some London region members soon, hopefully very soon. But in the mean time this particular thread should only be used for plus's - no questions or answers

What I don't understand is how the London RO didn't have the time to attend regional meetings or organise events due to work commitments yet he now has the time to be IT Director of the club and RO ?

Hey guys isn't this where the thread started ? Groundhog Day ?

+7 (& +8 (Ed))

Kind of but not quite.

It started with the absent RO issue....due to work commitments.

I guess my question was suggesting if he didn't have time for the RO role, how does he have time for the IT Director role....or is that he no longer has an interest in the RO role and should step aside to focus on what he really wants to do i.e. be IT Director ?

So who are the three volunteers .... ?

Phantoms???[8|]

Maybe Paul or Alan should ask a direct Question ... Who are they and do they exist? And having secured three helpers he wants more .... London is indeed a big Region.

I have a theory:

I think he got the notion that there are 3 volunteers from Johnny Mcgirl.
We told Johnny that we had a new RO in waiting who had at least 3 volunteers that would support him as and when required. These three have had plenty of experience as had independently arranged all the events R20 we had attended over the last few years.
He's now even trying to spin this................

There's a thread in R20 homepage titled "Latest Events".

Last post: June 2006.

What else needs to be said?

Matt, disappointed that you have not bothered to read the content of that post and impulsively posted like everyone else is doing. I update that post every month with the latest dates and have done so without fail since I started that thread in 2006.

As they say when someone or some group has convince you to think negative about a person then you will stop seeing anything and everything good. Sad.

Feel free to call or private email me.

Kish - you are correct. I apologise.

It's slightly misleading that it shoes a post date of June 2006, i.e. it doesn't update when you edit the content.

Have PM'd you.

Its good an eagle eye is being kept here .... to ask the question yet yet again, who are the three please?

Johnny McGirl I know rang round for support, indeed I called him and offered any support (NOT WANTING DIRECTORSHIP AS INVOLVED ELSEWHERE) but more importantly, Chairman and Regional Director should get hold of the minutes of the meeting when Adrien Ong was dismissed when Chris Clark was Regional Director ... Adrien was NOT present when he was dismissed. Reasons I believe were given, was lack of support and being absent (father ill China) on a couple of occasions ..... by a complaining joint RO at the time, well documented. No one else complained...

Kish - we are not 'impulsively posting'. We are just trying to get something moving in this region. You must realise yourself that the region has become just too dead over the past few years. Surely you can appreciate London members just want to have an active region like so many others.

Do you honestly feel you have been able to devote enough time to this role recently? Has something changed - do you have more time now? If not, why not let someone else do the region, especially as you now have the extra duties on the Board.

Please lets get this region moving again.
