This mornings shopping on ebay... latest addition to the stable (if it ever arrives of course... currently in Japan).

Based on a '69 T, RSR flaired, HiPo 2.2 litre motor on slide-throttles (I think)...

Always wanted a '73 RSR rep but can't justify the whole replica thing... so decided this was a great compromise... hot rod with RSR styling cues in places...

Rather chuffed with myself at the moment... although I'm sure that will fade when I fight with the shipping/importing and then discover I've bought a basket-case...

Thanks Hacki... she's supposed to be just 600 miles out from the total restoration... body/trans/engine/ brkaes etc.. all floors done... fresh paint... RSR exhaust system and a Japanese air-con unit which is the ugly lump under the dash!

With wings like that --- you'll need a pilot's licence [:D]

It looks great --- well, apart from the aircon [;)]

Thanks for the kind words boys... the seller is somewhat unhappy about the price he raised on Ebay... but hey, that's what reserves are for right?!
Seems to be going thru though... will let you know when/if I take possession.

And Chris? How can you not like the aircon unit??? That's Kitsch-tastic!

Yup... that's aftermarket aircon Jap styley...

Given I've bought the car for about 30% of what it would cost me to build (assuming it ever appears)... think I can afford to find another solution... although, living in a hot climate... some serious aircon will make the car a whole lot more useful. It can get pretty sweaty in my RS down here...

Seems my nerves were well placed:
