oh my god help

Looking great Rob! You should be feeling pretty pleased by now as it is really looking like an invisible repair.
I've now got the nearside to look forward to on mine! Decided to break up the monotony of metal bashing and welding with a bit of cleaning and spannering so I'll do an update on mine soon.

Thanks chaps!
With hindsight, I wish I had bought a new rear quarter panel. I ended up cutting out loads more metal than I thought.

Looks fantastic mate and I doff my cap to you, lots of hard work and patience there. I decided to task my local bodyshop with mine as i don't have the patience or skills for that sort of work.

Quality Rob, Just quality mate...

Looking forward to seeing her back in full glory, me thinks a 944 day out in Cambridge beckons?????

Actually Andy I was contemplating organising a Cambridge meet. Have floated the idea at our local pub and they are up for hosting. Expect more soon (but only when I have an MOT certificate in hand!).

Lots of little jobs to get the car back together. I just wanted to share one of the 'patchwork' inside front wing. I put seam-sealer, stonechip and rattle can guards red on it, to make sure it's protected. Will be hard for the painter to get to when it's on the car...

Arghh! More rust! It was hiding behind the light cluster. Someone had been there before with the filler of course...

Luckily I have a whole rear quarter section to scavenge bits from...

I think you are well overdue a lucky break on that car Rob! You deserve one for all the hard work you've put into it. Fingers crossed for no more nasty surprises.

You are a hero Rob,
some people just dont understand classic cars ownership,
i went through a similar journey on a different marque of vehicle,
get her painted and get some miles on her

I agree shake some aerosols get her street legal and put some miles on while the sun shines then go back to the mucky stuff in autumn. [:D] you've earned it.

Cheers! Its off at the moment for a pro paint job on the whole right side. So maybe on the road in two weeks...
Yes I totally agree this is what classic ownership is all about! I wanted a project and certainly got one!
