OPC is having a laugh!

As Tom says...

However it hurts for a few weeks, right up until the new one arrives and you drive it away from the dealership [:D] swearing to never return... [;)]

I paid £70k for my 997S cab and sold it 10mths later for 60k (yes, p/x to a stealer because i didnt want the hassle of private sale). I usually run several cars and change my main car every 6-12mths. ...which does appear as tho it's throwing money away. I get bored of cars quickly and enjoy driving diferent ones... BUT... i rationalise it like this: i was going to buy a bentley cont, for 120k... for which after 3 yrs, i'd have been bid 70 (?) for it. Whereas, i probably only(!) lost 10k pa by changing my car so frequently... and had the buzz of driving 3 - 4 different cars during that time ...well that's what i tell myself!

ps... had the golf r32 for 6mths... and now going for a BMW Z4M roadster... but i';m sure i'm going to end up full circle... and be in another 997 of some description before too long!

SOLD - back to OPC.

Expect to see it on their website soon for £10-15k more than what they gave me for it [:(] [:(] [:(]

Oh well, just the looooooooong wait to look forward to now. Bring on Christmas!!

Yes, you're spot on. ...and i find it interesting, becuase i fail to see why. New they are about 43-45k, tho i'm sure ud get a decent discount. And they're not making that many of them... and yet just 18mths old, they're down to 30k, and thats at BMW stealer. So if i buy at 30, you know the bid in a years time is probably 20k if you're lucky, because they'll be available 2nd hand outside the franchise.

Having said that, most think that the car has more than its fair share of faults, and doubtless its inferior to the boxster, but all the same, it's a bit of puzzle to me.

The M cars ive had in the past have a similar depn profile... and the conclusion i always come to is that on all (expensive) cars u get smoked come sale/px, the only difference being u get slightly less smoked with a Porsche.... (just lightly toasted [:)]

The Z4M was 10K overpriced, they demanded premium price for a non premium car.. IMHO
Nothing wrong with it, I have had some great rides and drives in them, mighty quick car aswell!! Build was not up to scratch on the first Z4 and it was tainted from then on in...
For the extra money over a 3ltr its an engine (however important) twin pipes, bonnet creases and .. ???

Its life was short lived, rumours are it will be V8 in its new guise...
It may well be like the Z8's that they couldn't shift and now fetch a premium...!!
